I'd just like to add that this is probably the first song she has released in awhile that doesn't sound like there's 7 backup singers in the chorus. :phew

And I don't think the chorus sounds like ANGEL'S SONG anymore, I don't think this is necessarily a happy song... Bittersweet would be a better way to describe it.

I agree 100% ^.^ There are some really nice parts in this song.. I love the verses, the eerie sounds of the song, and the guitar solo. Her voice sounds okay. Ahhh I just wish I liked the chorus!! I also would've liked there to have been more instruments in the 3:07-3:42 part. It seemed.. empty o.o I heard some violin sounds or something that sounded nice, but I wanted them to be louder! :D (unless it's just my speakers...)

I bet some people have been waiting 3 years to hear a song like this.. the style reminds me of the "old" Ayu

Yeah, strange, I also agree with you 100%. The verses are really good, but the chorus...I don't like it at all. The 3:07-3:42 was definetely empty. It sounded like it needs some kind of echoing vocals, something like Mika Nakashima's Fed up bridge, or at least louder violins...

...I really don't like this song very much, I prefer 'STEP you' and 'is this LOVE?'. It seems that 'alterna' will be the better track of the 2 on this single. I don't think this really compares with 'ANGEL'S SONG' or 'July 1st', the melody seems a bit boring in the chorus and the big hooks in the verses just go 'PLOP' into the chorus. I hope her SHINOBI ballad is really good to make up for this single...-.O

I can already picture that 307-342 to be like inspire's part like that...except she's finding something or something :)

My second opinion after listening to original mp3: I enjoy every part of the song except the chorus, still. The way the song begins, the verses and guitar solo were all great XDDDD but I still don't really like the chorus. It reminds me too much of angel's song (really..). I understand that it's a summer single but I wish there was a better and more different way to bring out the chorus rather than the usual happy-cheery-cutie feeling.

I do agree. It's an excellent song. And the background music is really gorgeous. A really good song indeed even if it is a bit different.

for awhile, i haven't been really impressed with ayumi's songs and it made me sad. she was the reason i became so in love with jpop back in feb.'02.

but this song reminds me of why i loved her so much.
i'm shocked how much i love [fairyland]. definitely has to be one of the best songs she's come out with a while.
