I think she doesn't have such a strong accent for a Japanese, it is just normal Japanese accent.
I think it is quite hard for Japanese to learn English because they lack most of the sound used in English.

Personally I think Ayu's English did get much better since she returned from Miami.
I noticed it in a-nation06.

The difference between GMT and GMT-8 is simple, it is just what it says, math.

So if it starts 12:30 GMT, to have it in GMT-8 time all you do is subtract 8 from 12:30.

12:30 - 8 = 6:30 in GMT-8.

16:30 is the same as 4:30 PM, 24 hour system.

Can't wait to see the whole thing, and it sounded like Ayu, not dubbing!
I saw the BoA interview, and I sincerely hope they don't dub Ayu! xP

I thought that Ayu spoke english very well but with accent...

Anyway remember that Japanese people have an horrible accent and that we nerver understand a thing listening them.

I wonder if ayu can speak very fluent english, because she is representing Japan to be interviewed by CNN. As a result, I believe Japan government will give pressure on AVEX to ensure that Ayu can speak clear English in CNN, rather than JAPANESE ENGLISH~~>~haha~

Good english : 0

if she can speak and understand what other people say, that's good enough!
at least, she can speak!

But the things that the interviewee says are not always in their native language.. BoA's was dubbed over in English.. I don't think the majority of Ayu's will stay in.. whatever-she's-speaking..

But since this is "FOCUS ON JAPAN".. I think MAYBE we'll get Ayu speaking some English and some Japanese rather than be dubbed by some British lady with no teeth.

I rather she speak pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~ than having it dubbed. Do you think they will add subtitles?

It's highly likely her lips matched if the poster is willing to say that she spoke it..

Japan is said to be one of the most weakess in English, I went to Japan last year even the sales didn't know what I was talking about in English. I asked that how much is ......, they shook their heads and told me...Wakainai (i don't understand)..-.-~

IMO, Ayu would be one of those half/half artists with people who "OMG I DISLIKE HER!!!" and those who really love her.. at least in America..

If only she was uber-bilingual..

I wonder if her father was actually foreign, and if he was still alive, would he have taught her English? :o

ren0210989 3rd December 2006 05:34 PM
