Album NAKED TRUTH will be released in August 2020...
Actually one song off the album will be released every month until August 24th 2020, Elva's birthday. Together, they will form the digital version of NAKED TRUTH.
Then her new World Tour will start, and, if I understood correctly, a limited physical version of each single will be released for collectioners.

ergh, I don't know .. it is a nice song, I've just expected much more. Some bop, to be honest, like Shut and Kiss Me, I am Ready, Miss Elva etc.
After a 6-year long break, we deserve a bit more.
Both song and MV is not bad, but it is just too ordinary, nothing worth remembering. They spend so much money shooting this, so I expected something, idk, more special (?)

According to what Elva said last week in interviews, this time she did not want to start her promotion with a slow/sad song or an upbeat song, because "we all need romance at the moment", IIRC.

Depends on the ballad. Ray of Light from I'm Ready is a particular favorite of mine.

This is OK. It's good to hear her. It's just a slow approach to returning. I'd love for her to come back with a thorough effort like Jolin did, like Show did. It doesn't have to be a hit. I just want to Elva to show she's still a performer.

yeah, I know she still has three days to release it, but ... wasn't it postponed due to Chinese New Year celebration? Since there is usually absolutely nothing being released during that time.

I think this was the perfect song for her 'comeback'. Goes back to her roots of that mid-tempo RnB and that voice that I think is so recognisably Elva.

The song is so reminiscent of songs like other classic Elva songs like 因爲你，沒有人， 薔薇.

If she released some EDM bop, it would just be the same rehashed formulaic generic song... I do like her fast songs but they can be so impersonal. I feel all her fast songs attempt to match 愛的主打歌 but that is an impossible feat.

Listening to the lyrics for 當你和心跳一起出現 you can tell it's a love letter between her and her fans that have stuck with her so long. The end of the chorus '又盤旋， 又盤旋，又盤旋~~‘ part is just infectious.

Of course, no one wanted "formulaic generic EDM song", basically any song, no matter if ballad, rock or whatever song, would be better than some " formulaic generic EDM song" if you are using such comparison.
If you would compare "formulaic generic EDM song" with basically any song, of course that other song would win such kind of comparison, it doesn't really matter if that song is 當你和心跳一起出現 or any other song.

But who is saying we wanted her to come with some "formulaic generic EDM song" as you suggested?

For example, Jolin is still doing bops, and if she could have come with Ugly Beauty in 2018, Elva could also bring us something more iconic in 2019 as well.

I am not saying 當你和心跳一起出現 is a bad song, actually it has grown with me, but after 6 years of inactivity, I would expect something more special - you can call it "bop", I call it more special kind of song than "just" basically pretty ordinary sound of 當你和心跳一起出現.

If 當你和心跳一起出現 would have been released one / two years after Shut up and Kiss Me, I would be saying okay, she is trying do it differently this time. But waiting 6 years for her comeback ... I don't know I just expected a little bit more. Definitely didn't want "formulaic generic EDM song" as you call it, but maybe something with a little bit more idea, something a little bit more unexpected, something new from her ... that's all.

This month she "exposed" her boyfriend publicly and talked about their relationship quite a lot on TV, and in interviews.
