Anyways, BoA's single just leaked via promo CD and it comes out the same day as Ayu's. However, I think that it was recorded waaay before.

Huh? Namie is really deep into the J-urban movement right now; this preview sounds more rock/pop than urbanish...I really don't see the Namie connection XDD

It doesn't matter when it's leaked, people will find out how does the song sound before the release date anyway - if it's a bad song/a song people won't like, nobody can hide it, no matter what. I think only keeping the song a secret until the day of release could make any change - so that people would buy the single just to find out what the song is like in the first place. Other than that, it's up to people's tastes if they like the single or not, not up to when it leaks.

Some songs can actually grow on with time, thus earlier exposure can lead to a song's likeness reaching its peek just in time for the release date.

That certainly wasn't the case with glitter / fated. :/
