^Exactly, for all we know, she may not be planning another single at all, she could be going straight for album.

From past experiences, I think that she might pull out a big single for an Autumn release, and then an album will come.

Like, she's done a spring -> summer pattern, as well as a summer -> fall pattern.. but she's never done a spring -> fall pattern with singles.

Since she's doing AT08 up until November, it's possible that in October or something she'll release the single and perform it at the Taiwan final..

^Well, I tend to forget that Ayu can't release like she use to since she has that precious record of hers which AVEX seems to be tryin' to keep. Plus her schedule is hectic. A Song For xx anniversary is coming up so maybe she'll release an mini-album or something on that day.

It's not that she's not releasing like she used to [I'm fine with 2 singles a year or w/e] but it's that she's not trying as hard as she was last year / the year before..

I mean, look at her promotional schedule. You wonder why some of her singles dropped out of the charts like "WUT" after one week? That's why.

Gotta agree with you on the promotion. Even artists that are barely known do a ton of promotion. She doesn't need some kind of heavy choreography or fancy dresses to be on the TV and sing a song so many people will hear and buy it. ^^

Though I'm really not disappointed with Ayu or something. You can only be disappointed if you had expectations in the first place, and those must be really high. I don't think people should have I am-era expactions of Ayu. That's just unfair. She's releasing music, and that's all that counts right? If you don't like any recent music, then maybe Ayu's just not for you. Especially with the whole single no. 1 streak I don't see her falling back into a fast-single release pattern anytime soon. It's just too dangerous for losing it.

I don't really have any big expectations. I don't expect to like her next song, so if I don't I don't like it but I don't go all "omg ayu is sooo disappointing this year pffff". Like, when ALL SINGLES was announced, I didn't expect a new song anytime soon, but then we got the GREEN CM which was great! ^^

Well the thing is, T2M got a lot of performances, and it barely skidded past 100k. MW got about 2 (not including the tour) and yet it sold to 190K. Granted, MW got 4 additions but still. Not saying that there is a correlation but since Ayu's sales tend to plummet after first week anyways I think Avex is trying to milk that first week as much as possible. TBH I don't think it's that smart of a strategy but I don't know the internal system of Avex.

Avex's promotion strategy is odd at best.

MW is kinda a promotional exception with all the stuff they did for that lol. More TV performances would have probably helped, though..

What I'd love for Ayu to do is some kind of unique promotional event, like U2 does (but then they say they do it for the 'good of mankind' lol). Like, setting up a stage on a Bold & Delicious PV-styled van, and driving around a Japanese city while singing her song a couple of times lol. Or signing sessions! Does she ever even have those? I'm sure they're possible, with enough security..

^-looks like an old pic of her and tomoya to me XD seroiusly, these "scoop" sites are ready to milk "news" out of anything. I doubt she would be smiling openly at the paparazzo's camera if she was there somewhere with some brand new boyfriend..
