^ yeah, i find it weird that Arashi PVs don't have the same PV budget as other groups. like KAT-TUN (N.M.P. was just...epic), but i also think it depends on the song too. i found truth's PV to be on point with the song, so we'll see.

I somehow have a feeling that To be Free won't sell enough to kick AKB48 out of the no. 3 spot. Maybe they'll release something else later in the year though ... Not that it matters, no. 1 AND no. 2 is such an amazing feat!

thank you for the sales, irene! :heart i'm really happy for arashi's achievements!

about the PVs thing, sometimes i prefer simple PVs over more high budget-ish kind of PVs. in my opinion, i think arashi's simple PVs (like Believe-My Girl, for example) are done well. and like irene has mentioned, i thought the truth PV fit the song pretty well! if it was too over the top, i don't think it'd be a good thing, and that goes for any PV. sometimes simple is the best :yes

I agree, I loved TRUTH and Believe. I'm not saying they HAVE to throw around a huge budget every time, but something new would be nice sometimes. I personally though Everything and My Girl were kinda boring ^^"

It was announced, that Arashi will be performing "To be free", on the next Music Station - 9 July 2010 .


I can't wait!
I really love the song and I'm looking forward to the PV. The preview is so nice. The PV makes me feel calm and peaceful inside and so does the song!

matsujun's drama will be airing on July 19 :) i really can't wait! in the meantime, i'd love to see some promotional clips, but there doesn't seem to be any right now :(

Prosecutors get papers on boy band Arashi member over car accident

Spoiler:

Ninomiya Kazunari, popular idol group Arashi's member, collided with a bicycle while driving and caused injury to the female cyclist. The Nakameguro Police Department send its report to the Public Prosecutor's Office under the suspicion of negligent driving causing bodily injury.

The suspected charge was that while driving along an intersection of the Meguro ward around noon on 4 June, he collided with a female cyclist in her 30s, causing light injuries to her leg.

According to the police department, Ninomiya had admitted to the suspicion and also to the fact that he did not pay attention to the front.

As for Arashi, another member, with the succession of accidents in the likes of that in February, where member Matsumoto Jun collided into a vehicle from the back, their management company, Johnnys Entertainment, had passed a ban on driving for all 5 members within the year.

note: the woman wasn't the one who sent in papers to the prosecutor's office, but the police dept itself, she doesn't deserve the blame and hate!

Fans are creepy. Would people REALLY go hate on that woman if she HAD send those papers in herself? He wasn't paying attention. He hit her and caused an injury. That's all that matters. It doesn't matter whether he's a hobo or the friggin' president of the universe, if you do something wrong you have to make amends.

Aww... That's not good - so ALL five Arashi members are banned from driving for the rest of the year!? (And is it "fiscal year" - extends until end of March 2011 - or "calendar year" of 2010?)

Jup, I agree.

Some fans scare me...a lot!

It was Nino's fault and I respect him for admitting it and not trying to talk himself out of the incident.
BUT the woman didn't send in those papers against him, the police did, even when I can't understand WHY they did it. Nino already admitted, that he was wrong. What more do they want? Send him to jail?

@Bigtop: Well, it's actually all four members of Arashi, because Riida doesn't have a driving license. And yes, they are not allowed to drive a car for the rest of the year (as in "calendar year" 2010).

whoever sent in those papers should be the one to go to jail, not nino, lol. this is just ridiculous. :shakehead thank god he's not going to jail, but this is so....crazy.

and they have some nerve to mention matsjun in this article, as well.....:grumpy i really hope nothing court-related will happen now. arashi don't deserve this. they make mistakes like any other person would.

I've just seen the full PV for "To Be Free" and I have to say, that I really, really like it - even a little bit more than "Monster".

I love the location and the "action" in the background. I'm a sucker for "simple" PVs and "To Be Free" is quite simple, but still very beautiful.
The PV fits the song so very well. The full song sounds wonderful too. It's really nice.

I'm looking forward to Arashi's "Music Station"-performance of "To Be Free".

the PV is so much better than last year's Everything, lol. the background effects were actually pretty cool, and the cloe-ups of the guys were great as always :heart i still love the song!!

btw, i love sho's face at 2:00. is it just me or does he look scared when he's looking up at the sky? :laugh
