That looks more like a perfume ad in a magazine than anything. I'm glad you are talking about the covers cause I don't like kylie minogue, and I dislike what I heard so far from that album. XD (don't kill me)

I wouldn't mind another nude. I want something mysterious, with a hint of thriller. like this. (don't worry, it's not scary) Or I'd at least like it as a photoshoot inside the booklet. The last picture actually kind of reminds me of ayumi. lol

Ayu did the Roman thing for her performance of INSPIRE at AT05 and CDL~Future Classics~ and as much as I love the way she pulls that look off... I don't think it'd mesh well with crossroad at all and I don't think such a specific theme would be good for "L."

Oh, and maybe if shes really running out of ideas the "L" single can just be a cover of all her favorite TV characters.:P:P:P:P just kidding.

But seriously, i bet constantly coming up with new ideas for singles, albums, live events etc being a singer, group or band must be quite difficult. I have a pretty good imagination and am quite good at things that require it, but I think if I were a singer I'd probably just run out of things sooner or later and get real frustrated followed by lazy and just start making my next single a remix of Moonlight Densetsu or something dumb like that....

Artcika, that is a GORGEOUS photo shoot! I would love to see Ayu do a photoshoot on location like that, but as you said, it's more like a "beauty shot" instead of being in character.

LOL Picaflor, I won't kill you. ;) Speaking of perfume ads, one of the ads I would love to see imitated as an album/single cover is the "Beyond Paradise" campaign by Estee Lauder. It's such a beautiful series in person.




Or she could do another album/single cover set with one of her dogs, kinda like a throwback to A Song for XX. Estee Lauder did an adorable ad campaign for the "Pleasures" perfume with a woman and her puppy. I know it probably wouldn't work for "crossroad" and "L," but it's a cute concept that she can try in the future anyway.




I do wonder if she uses perfume ads as inspiration for some of her photo shoots. Some of Jennifer Lopez's ads for "Still Perfume" remind me of the "MOON/blossom" cover shoot:

^i dont like how j-lo looks in those ad photos... actually they sorta remind me of the Marylin Monroe thing look Aguilera's doing lately. that first ad with the multi-rainbow thing is neat. Reminds me of that particular Ayu album of same name a little. Just i dont like the look on the person's face in the ad.

Some perfume ads are really cool and it would be cool if ayu got inspired by one to do a single cover.

Speaking of perfume, I always wanted to find that perfume ad that looks really really similar to ayu's Carols cd cover. I remember the background and the swing and the dress looked a whole lot alike. anyone know what I'm talking about?

If i'm not wrong it was a Celine Dion perfume.

Maybe I'm behind the times and it's been discussed already, but do we know what L stands for? I can't recall any official info, but I'm sure we all have theories.

It's her 50th single. L is the Roman Numeral for the number "50".

Also, did A, M, and H stand for anything? Nope.

There's a theory it could be related to the Roman numeral for 50 which is also L but no, we have no idea what it stands for. :P

@Picaflor: I think M stood for Maria. A and H are the first letters of her first and last name so I assumed that's what they stood for... XD
