Seriously. Does virgin ballad sound like a "medium ballad"??? I think songs like Sweet Season which are on the border of being a uptempo and a ballad should be considered a medium ballad. I dunno, my idea of a medium ballad is that of Sweet Season. Virgin Road sounds tooo heavy to be a medium ballad..zz. This term is being abused. It's as though every ballad now is like that.

i think people shud just be prepared for a triple ballad. anything else would just be awesome. It's reaching fall, ballads suit the mood best.

I agree with this. :heart Songs like blossom and sweet season are much more like medium ballads, whereas songs like Virgin Road, crossroad, and MOON are pretty much just ballady ballads.

Oo, Sweet Season PV/making preview~

I wonder when it'll pop up. Maybe we should watch the news on KeyHole and see if it comes up again? Haha~

If you ask me, that album was pretty 'ballad' heavy as well and there's only a few songs (Microphone, countdown, .... Sunrise?) I'd consider to have rock elements, that's just me though. :-/

Gah!!!1!! Someone, anyone please have it recorded somewhere! >_<

AyumiAi 16th September 2010 03:58 AM

I dont mind Ayu's ballads at all, especially if they're uber slow ballads like hanabi that just make you want to cry i love those
but i also would like a bit of spice XP lol :D

Ahh!! I wish somoene would record the preview!
ibet its going to be amazing, one of the songs has to be upbeat, why elsewould they have shot high action scenes for a pv?
there remains hope! :3

GRACE 16th September 2010 04:07 AM

3 ballads?

What is she doing...? She's not going to become that old hag who sings only ballads is she :(...

Beauty4123 16th September 2010 04:12 AM

sweet season PV preview already?! i just realized the release date for L is just 2 weeks from now, so i guess it's not so surprising :P

can't wait to see it!

love in music 16th September 2010 04:14 AM

we'll probably just wind up getting short versions of the L PV's too and have to wait for the single release to see them in full. oh well, it is only 2 weeks. and 1 week til crossroad! :D

Picaflor 7/4 16th September 2010 04:32 AM

where does it say that all 3 songs are ballads? I've yet to hear any previews cause I don't feel like listening to a recording of a recording of an already low quality song sent to a phone, sent to a recorder, sent to a computer with a quality of 50 kbps and then spending 5 minutes trying to decide if I like it or not based on what I really can't hear.

THIS.

tokyoxjapanxfan 16th September 2010 04:46 AM

^ It doesn't.

But Virgin Road is a ballad, and Sweet Season sounds like a mid-tempo ballad.

But since many people know about the Kikuchi composition, they're assuming it'll be Last Angel since Komuro did Virgin Road and Makihara Noriyuki did Sweet Season. and since it's supposed to be reminiscent of Who..., which is a ballad, people assume it will also be a ballad.

Mintkisses 16th September 2010 04:46 AM

I am really disliking these short versions of the PV.. it's a nice preview and all but I just want to watch the whole thing!

I'm not sure what to think of the L single so far. I mean, I really don't like medium tempo songs in Ayu's case (only a few I have interest in) and to suspect that all three tracks will be like that X__X I don't understand why Ayu is doing all of these ballads. I feel like I haven't listened to a decent up-beat-song-that's-not-a-summer-song in awhile. =(

AyUta 16th September 2010 05:19 AM

Hm, the tracklisting to L single is very interesting, and all three are going to be ballads? Can't wait for this :heart.

Echoing what tokyoxjapanxfan said, we have no idea if all the songs are ballads. But Sweet Season is pretty much confirmed to be a mid-tempo ballad and from the clip, Virgin Road sounds to be a ballad as well but it could turn out to be something different.

The "Who..." thing was just a misunderstanding that was actually referring to alan but Kikuchi definitely did write a ballad (and possibly one other unknown song) for Ayu which is assumed to be Last Angel.

Referring to alan? But he specifically said that it was a ballad for Ayu... and Ayu even tweeted back to him at the time.

Ayu told Kikuchi to compose a song better than Who... for alan at a-nation or something.

He DID write a ballad for Ayu, you're misunderstanding what the poster said.
