I'm really disappointed with the tracklist, 11 ballads is too much. :(

Corvina 23rd April 2011 04:02 PM

I really wonder if they changed the setlist after the earthquake and there weren't that much ballads before?
Curious to hear some reviews of the concert now!

freedreamer 23rd April 2011 04:02 PM

walk in the middle?!??!

and yea, thats way too many ballads

kaled kalil 23rd April 2011 04:37 PM

I guess they changed, because she was saying that wanted a dance year / tour and this is not what we're seeing :/

jbrat2219 23rd April 2011 04:48 PM

Oh no... Even though I like most of the ballads on the list.... oh... no...

I think the new song 'You are not alone' is sweet, though.

KarenPang 23rd April 2011 04:57 PM

It's only the 1st day of her tour & the setlist for the next few days will change :shrug

Japan is still trying its best to recover from the horrors it faced last month & you can't expect Kumi to sing her ero kawaii & more up there songs especially in a time like this

I kinda expected the mood will be more toned down unlike the supposedly dance theme that she suggested prior to the disaster :x

jiarongisme 23rd April 2011 05:06 PM

Pretty happy with the setlist. I'm a sucker for ballads. 8D

Toned down is one thing, and I understand the sensitivity towards the disaster. But why go to a concert that's.... Not entertaining. I'm not really a ballad person so a huge ballad section is kind of boring to me. I mean if you're dealing with the disaster and you need a little 'pick-me-up' and you go to a Kuu concert that's full of ballads it's.... I don't know, disappointing. At least to me. I think the one song for Earthquake disaster in the concert is great, but why set up your whole concert to be centered around pain, sadness or sensitivity. It should be encouraging, fun and exciting. I don't know, maybe the ballads are encouraging but 11 in a row? Sooooooooooo boring. I mean, that's just my opinion, I'm sure Japan ADORES Kuu ballads but I hope Ayu's tour doesn't end up the same way to be honest because this tour is already a big no for me, sorry. :no

I hope the setlist changes for the DVD at least.

Corvina 23rd April 2011 06:18 PM

That's probably the reason, why the ballads are all in the first part. She ends the concert with the fun and encouraging one. After walk there's not a single ballad (hoping here that the new song isn't one).
Let's wait how people are reviewing the concert. And maybe they do change the setlist for the DVD.

jbrat2219 23rd April 2011 06:44 PM

Yeah! Maybe if she broke up the ballads a little bit it would be better. Like just have two ballad sections or just less ballads... But even so as far as ballads are concerned, I'm looking forward to 'Okay' (like my favorite song right now) 'Ienai yo', 'Love is over' and 'Chiisa na Koi no Uta.' In fact if they kept those and tossed the other ballads out, I wouldn't be mad. :laugh

Corvina 23rd April 2011 06:55 PM

'Chiisa na Koi no Uta isn't a ballad for me, it's a nice and happy midtempo song. Or a happy ballad if you wanna say so. :laugh

kaled kalil 23rd April 2011 07:03 PM

Sadly she did not sang old songs, only Ai no Uta, Cutie Honey and Butterfly are there. I'll miss the classic ballads, like you, Yume no uta, and others.

I'm not really curious about You are not alone because I'm kinda tired of ballads, but I hope that be a good song.

I don't really listen to it often because it makes me cry all the time. :laugh

But you're right it is more mid-tempo lol.

Corvina 23rd April 2011 07:11 PM

You cry?
The lyrics and the melody are both so positive, it makes me happy everytime I listen to it. XD

Well I mean, it's not like I'm sad, it's just a reaction. I don't know WHY it happens with certain songs. Ayu's fated (orchestra version) on her T2M single has me crying a river each and every time but the original does nothing for me. I'm weird, that's the only explanation I can give haha.

Twinkle ! 23rd April 2011 08:14 PM

^ oh lol it's okay I cried once when I heard Chiisa Koi no Uta :hi5

I've just finished the digest of Kuu's DMP, I'm uploading it on youtube right now, gonna post links in a moment. She's releasing so many things recently it's hard to keep up, please have a look when it's done :)

Just for information, it's muted at the beginning, do not turn up the volume.

maze 23rd April 2011 11:21 PM

the setlist was expected. they probably changed it a bit after the tsunami/earthquake but I'm not blaming them. I'm just glad she's performing all the tracks from Dejavu and my favorites from Eternity :heart now I want pictures!!
