^ the huge sword is hilarious wakaka XD~

btw, this tour doesn't come with making off video?

jiarongisme 21st March 2013 01:19 PM

^ I think only during the credits? Sadly. I would love to see a making-off/documentary for this concert. From the original HOTEL Love songs (circle stage and all), to POWER of MUSIC, then the divorce, and then the CDL, to this arena tour. It would be so interesting.

douggn 27th March 2013 03:33 AM

maybe they chose a really big sword so people right at the back of the arena could see what was going on

Dream 27th March 2013 06:34 AM

I LOVE this concert, my only complain is that the dancers got more screen time than ayu LOL

brener 27th March 2013 04:48 PM

yup.... u can barely see her at certain times...

I know I'm late but just yesterday my DVD arrived since the release and I want to express my opinion.

It's not her best tour, but you can see that she put a lot of thought on it. There's little details there and there that are so suggestive, like the stop in reminds me and the lonely queen segment, in this part you fully understand what she always stated about the "Party Queen" album concept.

Definitely I'm relieved that she did the CDL before, it's like we had more about the story she was trying to express in the concert, for example, the segment of the bed and the lovers are much better explained in the CDL than in AT. In the end, they complement beautifully each other.

Her voice is amazing, the PQ's songs are exactly the same as the studio records. Other thing is that many parts of this tour seems like a movie (esp. the jazz part) than concert, the intention of bringing a cabaret feeling was very well succeed.

And finally, you can see in the credits how the Return Road's performance was like. I think she made a understandable decision cutting it off. There was so much drama on it and of course, many meanings that is understandable that she tried to leave it alone and walk on of this subject, even still putting a final dot with kiss'o'kill, that was less "agressive".

After all, well done, Ayu, well done. Every time I watch one of her concerts I remember why she still has to be respected.

i felt this way while watching CDL ~WAKE UP~ :no
(i'll comment there)

brener 11th April 2013 05:20 AM

and from what i've seen there is a tendency to increase the numbers of dancers in her troup...

I wonder that too! Why didn't they focus on ayu than the dancers, ugh. We are watching ayu's concert not the dancer's concert.

jyujiw 12th April 2013 06:14 AM

I suppose that she thinks that dancers can supply her lacking of dance skills, so, while she tells a story by singing, they do their part dancing. It's quite a reason for the large amount of dancers we have today.

But, the dance lessons she had in LA made her better, she does feel more free to move her body in this tour.

Ah, another thing. The props and costumes of this tour were awesome in my opinion, many things on stage this time around and not only screen plays.
