it seems she will posting her new entries in both Japanese and English now. I'm so happy, it beats having to use a translate site and only getting half of the message.

I think it says that free email sites can cause problems. I think they even say microsoft and google emails may have some issues, if you are with one of them. But i used my google account without any problems, though I havent completed it yet

gmx and web.de won't work as they're free providers located in Germany.
But gmail works without a problem.

I used my yahoo account and it worked fine (I'm also from Germany).
There was also nothing in your spam folder?

I received a mail from TA saying something about 2015 diary, greeting card...do they ship it directly or I have to do something?

rainbow_smile 29th December 2014 11:57 AM

^ I'm not fluent in Japanese, but apparently they will ship it out automatically as usual, but only if you joined before September 30th and if your membership expires no earlier than December. Would be great if someone fluent in Japanese could translate it for us though :)

Aderianu 29th December 2014 12:12 PM

This is only for fan club with tenso right?

Pieces_of_SEVEN 3rd January 2015 12:21 AM

^If you're asking if you would still need to use Tenso to get items shipped outside of Japan, then the answer is yes.

My recommendation: Don't. I shipped Reg SAL with 3 "Feel the Love" T-shirts (total value ~80 USD) via Tenso and;
1. Customs still held them and I had to pay the usual customs fees.
2. It took 3 weeks for the package to even arrive in my country from the date Japan post claims it left the outward office of exchange. Perhaps reasonable for 10 dollar-shipping (you can decide that for yourself) but it feels weird when you get a tracking code just to watch it stay in Japan (presumably) for 3 weeks.
3. I had to pay an additional fee (which EMS packages are exempt from in Sweden) to the Swedish post because of their "diligent work with customs processing" or whatever (why thank you, Posten, I was very happy you took care of my package in customs for FOUR days!).
4. The payment to Tenso ended up being only about 1000 yen cheaper, and Reg SAL does not include insurance (according to Tenso, at least) unlike EMS.
My bad experience has a lot more to do with the Swedish customs and postal services than the shipping method itself, but I'm guessing Germany's customs will have similar routines to Sweden's. I would not recommend taking the gamble, but it's naturally up to you.

~angel*ayumi~ 5th January 2015 09:58 AM

Normally registered SAL is insured up to 6000 Yen, they also write that in their shipping method discription. (and I had a private person who always sent me stuff this way) And yes it takes long, but I can wait. And the reason you canīt track it after it left japan is that it gets relabled in your country, it will get a different tracking code because your post can read the foreign tracking codes. (they only can read the EMS/Express tracking codes) And for me at least chances for custom are lesser, as EMS getīs always hold, SAL only a few times^^

Toniayu123 5th January 2015 10:59 AM

I think it really does depends on the country, for example here in Spain EMS takes longer than SAL (i am still waiting for a parcel that I shipped with EMS in November). For me the best method is regular airmail, it doesn't take too much time to arrive and customs never hold them, if the declared value isn't extremely high.
One thing I don't understand is why tenso can't ship using small packet airmail when there is a poster inside, they say it is too big. In cdjapan I have ordered many stuff with poster and they always shipped them with small packet...weird

Aderianu 5th January 2015 12:48 PM

here in my country I never paid anything to customs...
longest delivery was with registered air mail ~80 days
