wow...the lyrics is so deep and dark..
the structure is different...I see pre chorus part, bridge part and the ending part seems will have different melody or maybe it will use the bridge part to end the song... can't wait!!! |

No, not tears for what you have become, just tears for our memories, things that cannot be as present as the moments that once begot them. And tears, sometimes, for what now, more so than ever before, feels like there are only so many more we may ever have between us. You never went too far, only enough so that some of us went o_O. |
So beautiful :luv2 can't wait for the full version of this song
|
Just listened to the previews: don't have enough words, they are AMAZING! And is this really live? If yes, her vocals are superb and pure... I can't believe...
OMG, Sayonara is so beyond great and Summer Diary... it's so ayu in its best meanings :heart And those lyrics above... :eyes Ah, is there a birth of a masterpiece on the 5th of August? |
^ they're not live, they just showed the PV previews ^^

I cried. Beautiful lyrics ayu. We will never give up on you

Those lyrics are somehow beautiful, yes. But am I the only one who now has a problem with taking her seriously?
I mean, she clearly says she has done some mistakes in the past and was a fool. But she doesn't tell us what she is exactly talking about. Since there was a lot of drama surrounding her the last few years I have no idea what she conciders a mistake and what not. There were a lot of things and actions she defended strongly back then but what is she regreting now and what not. So I really don't know how I can take her, her actions or even her work and therefore music from the last few years serious anymore. And that makes me sad. |
I think it's specifically for the last year or so.

distant place is LA for sure. Didn't she mentioned in few latest interviews how she miss Japan, and called life in LA "running away"?
|
I really think this'll be an album I play -a lot-... It's got such classic elements, I love the covers, the videos seem extremely well done (by her recent standards at least). A ONE was like the beginning of her comeback, and this is certainly becoming the continuation.
The one thing I'm still having a problem with is her lack of TV appearances. She could release album after album, but no one is aware of it because she doesn't have TV appearances/cm tieups. |

Idk how it is so hard to understand regardless. Or take her seriously. Ayu is very human and she's always shown that through her music. These lyrics show that a lot. people are always learning more about themselves and making mistakes in life. Losing things that you can't have back. I love what she expresses here. |

It's a song, not a formal statement, of course it is "vague". I think it's pretty clear what she's talking about, as said by primavera♥.
|
I think it's not supposed to matter what she's talking about. I mean she's not writing lyrics as tell-all confessions - when she wants to express factual information, she does so in interviews & blog entries. She writes lyrics as statements of her feelings. The lyrics are intended to express a feeling that listeners can relate to, not to explain what happened.
|
Of course she's just human and I like how honest she is, but maybe this topic wasn't a great choice for lyrics. I mean, regardless if I think it was something to regret or not, she could be talking about all those things:
• making private details about her relationship and marriage with Mannie public • making private details about her relationship with Maro public • saying in a very direct way she doesn't give a fuck about what the japanese public and her japanese fans think about her and her actions • leaving her fans alone and moving to the US • Party Queen covers • a lot of PVs • musical direction • etc. I'm sure I forgot something Like she made clear she regrets she was running away to the US. But she was running for a reason and if she regrets runnig away she also has to regret other things. Problem now: is it about the choices regarding her personal life only or also about her music? We don't know. And that's why I don't know how to take her work in the last, let's say 3 years, serious anymore. And I actually like the music she made during that time. |
I don't think she has anything to regret about the Party Queen covers.
