I watched the beginning of AT08 today and during ReBIRTH or The judgement day I noticed someone in the audience was " cosplaying " Ayu's style in Kanariya, with the rhinestones all over her face haha :D I hope this girl is happy Ayu finally performed this song

I never heard of BRILLANTE, Mad World, and Endless sorrow being a trilogy.

I'm spending a lot of time in that YouTube channel with old videos of Ayu. They have so many performances I've never seen, and some old knows that are actually in HD! :)

I really miss all her tie-ins, and her crazy music release schedule. It was always so exciting to hear snippets of songs before they were released, and then to see how they changed between the time the commercial was released and the actual song was released.

All of these videos have got me feeling some kind of nostalgia (Ayu, take a hint for your 20th Anniversary promo). It's really amazing how much she's the same, and how much she's different. I've been a fan since ~ the Kanariya single, and I've had periods of time when I was more or less into what she was releasing, but man watching some of this stuff...it's amazing how time has passed. Talkin' 2 Myself is going to be 10 years old this year. And all of this really got me thinking...it's true that the average Japanese person doesn't know her current music, or that she's even really still actively releasing music -- but, at the same time, she's still one of the top selling solo female acts, so it's not like she's completely obscure. And thinking back, people have really been counting her out for YEARS (pretty much from Rainbow onwards), and she's still here and still doing better than most of her peers. So as much as I would love to see a massive comeback, or see her given more respect/less focus on her personal situations, it really is amazing how consistently successful she's been over the years, and sometimes I don't think any of us give her enough credit for that.

I remember I bought the lumix when I needed a digital camera just because she was doing the commercials. I even started drinking the BOSS coffee because of her! :laugh

Did you buy it in store? I remember I found it online for cheap, and ordered it. You could add memory cards with it but the memory cards were so bizarrely overpriced I just wanted the camera. The guy called my mom and was trying to get her to add in memory card and case and stuff. I think I even listened to him too and told him no thanks. Anyways, the guy turned out to be a scam artist and went like mental on my mom and quite literally told her to fuck off and he's gonna rack up a bunch of charges on her credit card anyway.

We had to cancel the card obviously. Lol.
