It baffles me still how loved this woman is. By all age groups. When I wore my fan club tour shirt, I'm not lying, in every store and on there streets, people came to talk to me how lucky I was and how jealous they were. Some just said Amuro and gave a thumbs up. It was really amazing haha. Even in high end stores like Dior and Shiseido Parlour, the staff came to talk to me about Amuro haha.

That sounds like fun.:thumbsup
It would be cool to be surrounded by people who actually know who Namie is and are fans too.:yes

You know, I know when you're famous you can easily afford your own plane... but to have a plane dedicated to you is a whole different matter. I'd LOVE to fly on that. The fan-girl side of me would be freaking the hell out the entire flight xD

Btw: actually if you change your name in your ticketbo account it WILL reflect the new name on your ticket! I did it for one of my extra tickets and it worked. The ticket reflects only the new name, not the old one that I used originally to get the ticket.

Wow really? Maybe I can ask one of the girls that work at the hotel I am staying at since they remember me from my last 2 Japan visits. Or could ask friends or coworkers to ask their friends. I just want this 2nd ticket not to go to waste, it makes me feel terrible if this ticket gets wasted, but at the same time considering their system and support, they kind of brought it upon themselves if tickets/seats get wasted and opportunities are lost for as many people as possible to see Namie's final concert because....

They don't refund your credit card. They direct deposit into your bank account. And of course it has to be a Japanese bank account only. This whole ticketboard thing has just been a huge headache. I do have a Japanese bank account, but that means that I'll only be able to access the money the next time I go to Japan. So ridiculous.

....of crap like this. Thank god you still have your Japan bank account, to think that your money would just be wasted if you didn't have it. Continuing from our conversation thru PMs, fanspace FINALLY messaged me back from the e-mail I sent a month ago. I asked what to put for Chinese name in the shipping information since it won't let me continue with the order if I leave it blank. They just said....

"We will not ship internationally. We will restrict to the dispatch in Japan."

When I originally sent an e-mail, I attached a screenshot with my tenso address listed as the shipping address so clearly that isn't the issue but hey its cool, just totally ignore my question no problemo. :shakehead

As for tickebo, I've tried every day to call them. I even time my calls so that I call exactly on their opening business hours, I can never got through. Keeps saying in Japanese that there is no one to take the call and please be patient but after a couple of minutes it auto hangs up. I guess in a lot of ways, this is very similar to customer service hotlines for companies in America, but its crap like this that eases the pain if I waste one of my tickets.

I hope the name change on the tickebo account thing works. How'd you find out about this?

Hang on, you mean they wouldn't even ship using the Tenso address?

Baco__ 17th May 2018 11:07 AM

I guess the person meant they won't read the emails properly. It's not about the address, but the name? BTW, why don't you try to write your name in katakana and tell tenso to send you with your real Chinese name?

lfe. 17th May 2018 03:52 PM

^ Yeah they didn't really read the e-mail. I guess they just checked my fanspace membership and saw that I was a foreigner and said they don't ship internationally. If I was Chinese it would be easier but I am not Chinese so I don't have a name to put, only problem is in the shipping address information, they ask for both Chinese name and Katakana name and you cannot continue processing the order unless you fill both. I guess since its just a shipping address I can just put my name in Katakana in both fields and it should be fine. I don't expect the Chinese name to be an issue with shipping to the proper address.

Does anyone have confirmation that the name change in tickebo changes the name on the ticket information? I guess SunshineSlayer could confirm because she had the issue with her Kanji name on her ticket and all her IDs having her name in American.

Namie arrived at Taipei's Songshan airport last night via JAL (kinda a no brainer right ? lol)

About 500 fans showed up to welcome her

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pbzmkYk74Yk

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DdZysvWV4AA2S_h.jpg

Namie was escorted by 8 security guards to the car & she only stood around for 10 seconds for photo taking opportunity done by the media

Aside from Namie , 16 of her dancers also arrived with her and also Haruto too . Quite a lot of fans were able to spot & recognise him even though he didn't exit the same way as Namie did in the airport

I hope the name change on the tickebo account thing works. How'd you find out about this?

It's a language issue I'm sure because when I contacted Ticketboard originally to ask what could be done about extra tickets, I never got a response until I emailed a second time, and this time in Japanese. All I got was this curt response - You can't change the name on the ticket. You can trade the ticket through our system. (which as mentioned is not possible for 99% of foreigners).

Both fanspace and ticketbo half-ass their English language accessibility. They really are not foreigner friendly.

As for how I found out about changing the name on the ticketboard account; I didn't. I took a shot in the dark and it worked. I would do it asap, because who knows when the cutoff is for creating the actual tickets. I changed the name of my accompanying ticket about a month in advance (I could do this cause it was my mother and I'm the one the created her ticketboard account, so I had all of her account information to be able to login and change the name.) I could not change the name of my own ticket because my own was a Japanese account registration, and in those cases they will not let you change the name from kanji to romaji. I had to change the ticket that was orginally going to go to my mother who was unable to attend; her ticketboard registration was done under English and therefore I could change my mother's name in her account to my name, and it actually worked. Ticket printed with my name in english that matched my passport. My own actual ticket was still stuck with my name in kanji and therefore nobody else being able to attend with it. lol. Did that make sense? It was a seriously roundabout way to get my ticket. Like Jesus Christ already!

Seriously! It also irked me that clearly her Facebook posts things in English and Japanese...so why can't the same exact messages being sent from fanspace by e-mail be bilingual (like TA messages)? It's not like they weren't translating them - they just didn't want to send them.

I also had trouble allocating my guest ticket in the English site - after selecting the person it kept telling me I had to select a person. I e-mailed tech support after I started freaking out. In the end, I was able to allocate through the Japanese site. A full week after e-mailing them (and after the concert date) I received a message that basically said "sorry it took us so long to reply, we see you were able to allocate your ticket so you're all set. kthxbye."
