Wow, they're like... the exact opposite of how they appear on stage. lol O_O Would have never guessed their personalities.

This:

Quote:

Very shy. doesn’t talk a lot. However, she’s very edgy when she starts singing.

Hobbies including reading book, going for walk and… sleeping. Yes, sleeping is her hobby.
Makes me love Hikaru so much more. :heart She's just like me lol. Yes, sleeping can be a hobby and it happens to be my favorite activity as well. XD And LOL @ Keiko being a Tsundere. :roflmao

mellody 16th September 2010 01:11 PM

^ You sounds like an Otaku XD

From Kalafina Club last Tuesday, I also heard that Hikaru loves anime, she can watches almost all, but she didn't managed to watch it, this is getting really interesting. :laugh

So many things I want to share about Kalafina :D

Omg she can't get more awesome? :heart

And by all means, share them with me. I'm listening. :D

milky_way 16th September 2010 02:46 PM

Sharks? I never expected that lol

Chiharo 16th September 2010 09:00 PM

I always knew Hikaru was the shy one since I saw the video of them talking together. And Hikaru spoke really little and she was so quiet (like me) <3. Somehow I'm becoming to love Keiko's singing voice over Hikaru's. In fairytale, exactly at 2:00, when Keiko sings, she creates such myterious atmosphere with her amazing deep voice that I almost can't believe it. I keep replaying that part over and over again, it's almost like a drug O_o. Now whenever I hear her sing I go like "it's Keiko OMG" xD.

My favourite !!!!!!! I :heart KEIKO !!!!!
But the girl with the best voice is Wakana,

mellody 17th September 2010 07:21 AM

Guessing an Otaku sounds easy, I ever feel the same :laugh

Okay, I will share it little by little~
Another trivia you might didn't know *seems scary yet cute*

Quote:

Favorite Animals :
Wakana - Shark
Keiko - White Snake
Hikaru - Butterfly
Weird eh? XD

As for me, Hikaru vocals are the best in ARIA, no matter what I always love that song, too bad the performance in Music Japan is quite disappointing.

Keiko voice can bring a surreal atmosphere, like in fairytale. But Keiko vocals are awesome in Red Moon, at 6:10, OMG awesome!
Try other Keiko songs in FictionJunction like synchronicity, it's amazing~

As for Wakana, I know her vocals also great but in Kalafina, I enjoy her voice really much in adore or Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete Iku, and I have a dream. :luv2

Ranma Matsuri 17th September 2010 08:43 AM

White... snake? She is a strange one. XD

I think Hikaru's vocals are the best in Hoshi no Uta, sprinter, love come down, and yes, definitely ARIA. :yes It's a favorite of mine as well.

I didn't care much for Keiko's voice before Red Moon though I did recognize the atmosphere and texture she bought to the songs. The title track is what turned me on to her voice and then her vocals in Yami no Uta made me fall in love. :luv2

Wakana's great and all but I dunno... her vocals don't really grab me as much as the other two. The only songs she really sticks out to me in are serenato, I have a dream, and Kimi ga Hikari ni Kaete yuku.

mellody 17th September 2010 09:39 AM

Anyway, for your reference, try to watch this, maybe you will love them more :heart

For Keiko : synchronicity (Yuki Kajiura Live Vol. 4) & Houseki (Yuki Kajiura Live Vol. 2)
Spoiler:

A duet with another FictionJunction member, Kaori Oda, rockish song.

Keiko as lead vocal, her vocals are varies, nice song semi, ballad song.

For Hikaru : angel gate (Yuki Kajiura Live Vol. 4)
Spoiler:

It's actually another FictionJunction members as the lead vocals, Yuuka Nanri, but Hikaru takes a background vocals and sing some parts.

For Wakana : vanity & Liminality (Yuki Kajiura Live Vol 2)
Spoiler:

In vanity, she takes the lead vocal, and LOL her engrish XD

In Liminality, she also takes the lead vocal, the intro with her high voice is really nice.

For the finishing, this is all FictionJunction member, my favorite performance everywhere!
The way they sing is just fantastic!
in the land of twilight, under the moon
Spoiler:

Sorry if there's so many, since Kalafina is produced with Yuki Kajiura, and it's all Kajiura related, so I decided to post it, please watch it :p

Nice, but quite expensive o_0

Zahara 20th September 2010 07:29 PM

I look forward to the tour, but I'm sad that they left off Serenato :(

adantatu2 21st September 2010 01:28 AM

^Yep, it's so expensive ToT

Ranma Matsuri 21st September 2010 02:44 PM

For a Japanese DVD, it's about the average price lol. Ayu's Concert DVD's are priced about the same (some higher) and looking at the setlist there's definitely going to be more than one disc (just for the DVD though since Blu-ray has a lot more space) since they're including the MC's.

Hmm, I just noticed serenato was left off. :( Oh well, it's still a really good setlist.

Thanks for the posts mellody! Gawd, I need synchronicity and angel gate on my ipod like... now... *_* Yuuka sounds amazing! She would be FJ:Y right? I need to pay her more attention!

(OMG SURREAL INITIATE? YAY!)

Chiharo 21st September 2010 05:28 PM

I have a question. What is the language (other than japanese) they are usually singing throughout their songs?

ex. from kagayaku sora no shijima ni wa;

"mada sortiya mari michiya
sari mortiya mari ha imarida
sortiya mari michiya
sari mortiya mari e imariita da"

sounds like japanese but really isn't. So what is it? It's kind of driving me nuts.

mellody 21st September 2010 05:39 PM

Of course I know that too, but I don't think I can buy it :(

If you like synchronicity, you should try this FictionJuncion album as well :
Spoiler:
Everlasting Songs

Tracklist :
1. KAORI & KEIKO - Hoshikuzu
2. YUUKA - Kioku no MoriHanamori no Oka
3. KAORI - dream scape
4. WAKANA, KEIKO & KAORI - Gin no Hashi
5. KEIKO - Kaze no Machi e
6. YURIKO KAIDA - here we stand in the morning dew
7. KEIKO - syncronicity
8. KAORI - Hanamori no Oka
9. WAKANA - Mizu no Akashi
10. YUUKA - cazador del amor
11. YURIKO KAIDA - Himitsu
12. KEIKO - Houseki
13. KAORI - Yume no Tsubasa
14. KAORI - Michiyuki
15. ASUKA - everlasting song ~japanese edition

Those songs are sang by FictionJunction members, no Hikaru :p

For angel gate, the original version didn't include Hikaru, it's only in live performance.

Yuuka credited as FictionJunction YUUKA, but she also has a stage name "Yuuka Nanri" she releasing singles and albums as well. (Check her discography)

If I'm not mistaken, Yuuka is Kajiura favorite singer. Live Vol. 4 has 2 part, Part 1 is special for Yuuka, with 2 backing singers, Yuriko Kaida & Hikaru (from Kalafina), Part 2 is for FictionJunction.

EDITED:
I like to answer XD

It's Kajiura-go, or Kajiuran language. :laugh
Actually, Yuki Kajiura made those kind of language with a meaning, but it seems only Kajiura only who can understand, she ever said in an interview that it has meaning but imagine yourself about the meaning, so it's not a language which appear in real life XD

EDITED (again):
There's some songs where the lyrics are ONLY Kajiura-go, here's one of the example :

I'd really love to "learn" Kajiura-go :laugh I just love it!
I wish I had money to buy the DVD ._. I need it :(

Wow! Thanks for letting me know that. Sounds really interesting. I'm learning something new about Kalafina every day xD. And I already love almost all of their songs now <3

Ranma Matsuri 22nd September 2010 12:32 AM

@mellody: Yeah, I could tell Hikaru wasn't included in the original. :( I know she's still pretty *new* but I hope Kajiura decides to include her in a solo project as well, I love her voice so much.

Oh cool, Yuuka's a seiyuu too? Definitely interested in her now. Thanks for the link. :D

I always wondered what that gibberish was in some of Yuki's songs lol. Creating her own language.... how fun. :laugh

milky_way 22nd September 2010 03:12 AM
