I think that she is capable of composing good stuff, but at the same time this is not her main skill, and she is a little limited at it, so... it's better having her producers doing this if she is not confortable with what she produced herself.

By the way... it's not like, they compose all 14 tracks for the album and she just add lyrics... they compose A LOT of tracks and she choose the ones she like the most for the album

You know? I would be worried if CREA would be perfect and she would only make great songs :laugh

All of the greatest composers had/has their good works, less good works, and bads.

ayuayu798 31st May 2009 10:39 PM

^ yeah she has a lot of control over her music even if she doesn't compose al of them... She has so much control that she was able to make until that day... a full song when it was only intended to be an interlude.

Yeah, that's why they compose a lot of songs and she chooses the ones she likes the most...
But IMO ayu is not really a composer, she is much more a singer that compose some times... Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think she can or want to compose a lot of melodies until she got a good one.

Some of her best songs IMO are by CREA, some of her worst too... Some of her best music are by other musicians...I don't think she should compose all her songs everytime... I think she has to use the best or more fitting melodies she has...

ayumisrael 31st May 2009 11:57 PM

I think that too.
I just want CREA to pop from time to time with cool or beautiful compositions.
(Now it's about the right time to pop lol).

I still wonder what the track by CREA was that Rule and Sparkle beat out when selecting the new single.

I hope it pops up on the next summer single.. -sigh-

waterballoon 1st June 2009 03:07 AM

Yeah... she has definitely mentioned before in her TA messages that she does have a CREA track out there... maybe the style didn't fit in with NEXT LEVEL. Hopefully it'll be in the summer single or whatever she's releasing next!!! ^^

If ayu wanted to compose, she could. As Andrenekoi said, she is not really a professional composer. She never was and I don't think she wants to be.

rakeru 1st June 2009 06:55 AM

a CREA summer single? make my dreams come true! i wonder if she'll even have time with the tour. of course, a tough schedule's never stopped her before....

MissElin_ 1st June 2009 11:00 AM

I would lovelovelove a new CREA summer song... But the rumors says that maybe CMJK, H/\L and DAI are working on a demo. Well I would love a new Fly High or Startin' too. :P

Ayumiko 1st June 2009 11:15 AM

I was looking forward to the crea song too...I got sad when it wasn't in NEXT LEVEL.

Ayu! announce a new single already! I am ready to preorder something new from you!

njanjayrp 1st June 2009 12:29 PM

I think that the CREA composition simply wasn't picked and that the song still made it to the album just with another composition :) Anyways, something tells me we shouldn't expect a single announced until late July :(

noidea 1st June 2009 02:28 PM

Oh, right, there was this mysterious CREA song...I hope its a strong or rock ballad like Daybreak, still alone,I Am..., they all belong to my favourite songs and she wrote them...
Or a nice pop song like Naturally or UNITE!^^

In all fairness, my friend gave me a new perspective on NL today. The songs are really polished n she should know having had mixing n sampling experience. She said the song and sound quality are excellent, much better than some other random japanese artiste. So from this clinical viewpoint, there's much to be proud of for this album.

ayuayu798 1st June 2009 08:57 PM

YAY!! to NL reaching 47!!! it's about time!!!

Ayu_Ready 1st June 2009 09:25 PM

NEXT LEVEL always sounded polished to me, I was always baffled when people claimed it wasn't. It's great dance pop music.

I love Ayu. I miss her compositions, yes, but her lyrics were always the reason why I've been a fan of hers since the beginning. Truthfully, I miss her old lyrics--they had a certain rawness and depth that her contemporary material lacks just a little bit, but I don't say that to mean that her recent lyrics weren't satisfactory. They're different than her earlier songs, not necessarily bad, and it makes sense since Ayu continues to change as a person as her career progresses. In all honesty, she always manages to say exactly what I need to hear at the time, and I'll always be grateful to her because of that. I've grown up on Ms. Hamasaki's music, and I'll always advocate her outlook on life and artistic vision.

Just felt like saying that. (笑)

ALfromHELLSING 1st June 2009 11:15 PM

Her lyrics were always AWESOME and DEEP and WILL always be AWESOME & DEEP, 'cause it's Ayu's lyrics. She's ONE & ONLY and no one can replace her or do it better.

And NEXT LEVEL is an awesome album! I'll say it again & again! Because it's absolute truth!
Go-go-go NL!! ^_^
