I like Negai more, but really they could've stuck 23:30 on the album too since all the other b-sides were.

ka♡ri. 11th July 2009 05:00 AM

I think Negai is waaaaaaaaay better than 23:30. Even though I didn't like either initially. :yes

and omg. i love "i still love U" now. :weep

Meat Pao 11th July 2009 07:05 AM

I don't really like Negai but I kinda liked the album mix LOL

NintendoHTF1242 11th July 2009 07:09 AM

So I recently listened to ⊿. edge (⊿-mix) is my favorite song. Everything in the song is great and had me interested throughout the whole 8 minutes and 44 seconds xD

Meat Pao 11th July 2009 07:23 AM

^I swear I never realized it's 8 minutes 44 seconds xD Totally agree about the "had me interested throughout the 8 minutes and 44 seconds" part LOL

Meat Pao 11th July 2009 01:55 PM

Perfume's still at #2 today, with sales of 16,311. Estimated total sales so far is 166,902. Looks like the first week won't be able to hit 200k after all xD Maybe 180k.

Miliyah's album which is still at #1 sold 22k today, a drop of only 1k.

dreamland2.0 11th July 2009 03:28 PM

^ I hope they will be able to get #1 weekly! Is it possible?

Meat Pao 11th July 2009 05:21 PM

Yep, I'm pretty sure Triangle would get the #1 spot as the debut sales were 90k and Miliyah's was only 36k, so if she wants to catch up with Perfume she would need to sell a lot more for the next 2 days xD

CoriKaru 11th July 2009 07:38 PM

I thought this review was an entertaining read:

"It's tough to listen to Triangle (officially "µ" but that's too much like the whole Prince name thing) for more than 30 seconds without crushing boredom setting in. Of course that's exactly the point and purpose of all that Perfume represents. Even their name suggests that a brief whiff is better than a deep and prolonged inhalation. To fill your lungs is to drown. That's not to say that there aren't a few things here and there to grab onto, only that much of the Triangle landscape is compressed and normalized into a smooth, featureless surface. (Actually, there are exactly two attention grabbers, the hard hitting and slightly strange "Edge" and super smooth and delightfully retro "Night Flight.") The group's signature robotic Auto-Tune style is, of course, in full effect and is the largest contributing factor to the aforementioned boredom. The three girls are completely robbed of any of their own personality. There is nothing human or personal in their performances. They are not human girls, they are pure fantasy. There isn't a single word on Triangle that came from a human throat. They are the Hello Kitty of the pop music world, a blank canvas on which their fans can project whatever personal, inner fantasy they may want to believe.[more trash-talk and video clips after the jump]* [Flash: Ci8REzfzMHY&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=0x5d1719&color 2=0xcd311b]Of course Perfume isn't entirely to blame for the onslaught of fake pop that has surged to prominence in recent years. Indeed the true evil here is the software package called Vocaloid. This is the same sort of text to speech tech seen on computers everywhere, only with the ability to alter the pitch and tempo. That's really all it is, yet the software has given birth to the biggest fake singer in history, Hatsune Miku, a real-world Sharon Apple. It is the idolization of this carbon-copy singing style that has allowed for equally fake groups like Perfume to become massive hits, much to the delight of major label execs everywhere, no doubt. Quite literally anyone with a computer can create a group like Perfume overnight, and at little to no expense. Add in digital distribution and it's nothing but profit all the way down.As long as you're not looking for originality, complexity or any sign of a nail sticking up above the rest, you'll find a lot to love with Perfume. Really, this is pop music, not exactly the place to be looking for visionary song-writing or subtlety. When you have only a few seconds to grab someone during a TV commercial or while they shop in the local strip mall, you've got to go for the feel-good, toe tapping beat and little else. That's exactly what you get with Perfume. A beat, but no pulse."

just wonder, does anyone feel bored with perfume's same choreography in each song's performance? :laugh

CoriKaru 12th July 2009 09:28 PM

Haha! I love it.

Thanks for the sell updates.

Seems to be a consistent seller.

:shimmy

Keiichi_JPU 13th July 2009 01:33 AM

LOL at that review!

I can't believe he didn't praise Dream Fighter!! That song is the most addicting song EVER!

jeffycue 13th July 2009 03:57 AM

hmmm...

i love Perfume when im listening to their stuff. i dont really watch their concerts or anyone apart from Ayumi. Then a friend of mind showed me their GAME tour and then Disco!x3 concert. i found their concerts boring since they don't really change anything much. i think if you consider it as a DANCE CONCERT, it would be fine. but their dance steps are stagnant. the only good thing that came out of Disco!x3 is the medley. most of it were fresh. i got bored fast!

anyway, me and my friend are huge Perfume fans... but we believe that they are a short-lived group. but that's our point of view. we dont know japan, so maybe having a different culture may leave a different impact... but if they were a group here in PH. HA! good luck. xD.

taskinillusion 13th July 2009 07:32 AM

And of course I missed all the videos posted because they were taken down.. :(

That "review" about Perfume was... interesting, but I don't really agree with everything he said.

omably 13th July 2009 11:12 AM
