We will get more ballads, it's a given. She's no way going to make 6-7 upbeat and cheerful or fierce rock songs.

But this is for a studio album though, so I'd expect avex would spend slightly more on promotion on this release than a single. Anyway, we'll just have to wait and see as usual! :)

PS: Secret also has many rockish and cheerful upbeat songs on it. So, we have a good chance of not getting more ballads on Love songs.

^Good point! Ok yeah maybe we'll get that sort of treatment which would be awesome. Though I honestly wouldn't mind at least one RED LINE or untitled or MY ALL sort of song.

I hope its more like LOVEppears, that the songs all flowed and there was a good difference (and just 2 interludes)

Thing could've been announced if she was in LA or on the moon though, it really doesn't matter where she is. She's not the one announcing anything.

^ i don't know why, but always when I'm thinking of JEWEL i think as a SINGLE track o_o cause this ballad is really fit. So it always reminds me of something big. So yea, SECRET got 2 ballads, but one was amazing. XD

but i believe around that time ayu got an eye infection which caused her to slow down her schedual and probably could no longer make jewel a single. thats why she promoted it alot, and had such a huge music video for it and stuff :P i think

anyway, God... poor girl just came back from LA and she's facing jetlag, can't she have some rest? lol anyway yeah i know it's her marketing team that releases all the info, not her, but hey, 3 weeks is STILL quite a while and even if it may seem "unnatural" because it doesn't fit with her past album release patterns, it doesn't mean anything.

but again, I thought we should've known Ayu almost never promotes to the public anymore... her main source of income and marketing target is her fanbase =="

a winter ballad would probably be the smartest move to promote the album since Japan always loves her winter ballads. I couldn't imagine her promoting anything other than a ballad in december tbh. I think it'll either be a ballad she already released that will promote it or a new winter one :yes

Depend on you, kanariya, and connected have been released in December and are not ballads, or about winter.
Also, evolution, whatever, Fly High, Rule, and Sparkle have been released in January and February (the winter months) and aren't ballads.

But it does seem that over the years she only ever releases wintery ballads in december. I think she needs to break that habit. ;/ Same with summer pop songs. It's like some rule about herself that she isn't allowed to release ballads in the summer, or pop songs in the winter.

On the topic of winter ballads, I'm hoping there's only 1-2 max of them. It's summer for me here and I hate always feeling so left out when you guys get winter themed stuff while I'm in summer :P Ayu should throw the lot of you off and do a summer dance track for those of us in that other hemisphere xD

yeah, most of those singles are pretty old back when her release pattern was different. also before R/S we had Days in december. who knows what she'll do though. I'm just guessing it'll be a new winter ballad from what has happened in december these past few years and what would most likely get her more sales for this new album.

i will be very dissapointed. i've became an ayu fan because of the non-ballads tracks. i like them, but i treat them like an extra taste.
