So:

1. 'Passion' on Ultra Blue/Singles collection
2. 'Sanctuary (Opening)' on This is the one /KH
3. 'Sanctuary (Closing)' on This is the one/KH
+
4. "Passion ~opening version" on KHJPN
5. "Passion ~After the battle" on Passion Single/KHJPN

are these all the versions?

The Japanese version of KH uses all the japanese versions I think.

Passion -opening version- is in Japanese, but it has the breakdown that's in english.

and yep~ what Luna said. Sanctuary (closing) should be Passion ~after the battle~ in english.

The breakdown in Passion is slightly different from Sanctuary. The first reversed line in Sanctuary is replaced by "Hito shirezu" ("Hidden away" if I'm not wrong) in the breakdown.

Woooo!!! Hikki has 986,000+ followers now on twitter. If I'm not mistaken (which I very well could be), she may be the first Japanese Artist to break the 1 million twitter followers mark.

I have no idea why Utada and her team didn't think to do that and make it the definitive version.

I always feel I have to sacrifice something and make a choice when listening to either version and I always choose the Single Version with the ending Verse even though I LOVE the Bridge Breakdown and those rare times when I go back and listen to it, it sounds so fresh and new due to having neglected it and chosen the other version all these years.

And I like the English Break Down better than the Japanese Breakdown just because "So Many Ups And Downs" in Reverse sounds so much better, jaunting, haunting and dramatic than "Hitoshirezu". Just catches you off guard.

I guess she figured if the Bridge Breakdown is getting all this publicity and exposure in Kingdom Hearts then I'm going to make the Single Version the one I perform live all over TV and put on my Album.

I LOVE Dirty Desire so much. It's that perfect, "omg I'm in lust with this person why oh why" song lol

Pieces_of_SEVEN 12th August 2012 02:24 AM

^ I also think that it's a good album :P
It deserved to be a much bigger success in the USA and such.

tinka69 12th August 2012 04:17 AM

^Agreed! I just don't think that cover helped with sales in the US haha

Pieces_of_SEVEN 12th August 2012 05:56 AM

"Girls...you know I eat it better than the boys." LMAO @ Poppin'

Agreed. Poppin, taking my money back, automatic pt II all were really underproduced and not even funny they were so bad.

This Is The One is a perfect pop album imo. I love every song on it. :D

CoriKaru 12th August 2012 08:25 PM

Coincidentally enough, I've been listening to A LOT of "This Is The One" lately and I am shocked to say that those songs age amazingly well.

I like it so much more now and I wasn't even expecting to when I popped the Album in my car disc player.

Also in "On and On" at the "intoxicated emancipated unapologetic" part, it sounds just like the part that starts off with "Mister DJ" and "Sexy Lady" in "Celebrate."
