ayaka's new rock song chosen as image song for 'Patlabor' movie + trailer

Quote:

ayaka's new song "Lose Control" has been picked up as the image song for the science fiction film 'THE NEXT GENERATION Patlabor Shuto Kessen' which will open in theatres on May 1st.

Directed and written by Oshii Mamoru, 'THE NEXT GENERATION Patlabor Shuto Kessen' is a feature length film that portrays a battle between the Section 2 team and a terrorist group that has taken 10 million residents of Tokyo hostage. It will star Kakei Toshio, Mano Erina, Fukushi Seiji, Ohta Rina, Shiba Shigeru, Mori Kanna, Yoshida Kotaro, and Takashima Reiko.

The image song "Lose Control" can be found on Ayaka's new album 'Rainbow Road' which will be released on April 15th. It's an upbeat rock tune that's different from ayaka's usual songs. This is the second time Oshii and ayaka have collaborated. Her song "Konya mo Hoshi ni Dakarete..." was used in his film 'The Sky Crawlers'.

Thanks for clarifying Karen. Turns out it's temporary, similar to what Ayu did back in fall of 2013...

And, no, I'm not going to listen to 'Have fun!!' until my album comes to my house. I (almost) already paid my own copy of the album on my own, I'd rather wait until it comes to my doorstep.

ayaka thanks her husband Mizushima Hiro for his support and hard work

Quote:

ayaka and Mizushima Hiro have once again proved themselves to be the cutest celebrity couple.

On April 7, ayaka updated her blog with an entry titled "Thank you". She revealed that her new album "Rainbow Road" (April 15 release) is complete and showed confidence in her work saying, "I'm happy... too happy... I've completed an album that I can proudly call a masterpiece in my music career."

ayaka then uploaded a photo of a plate full of cake, which was a present from her husband, actor Mizushima Hiro. She started off by saying, "My husband secretly prepared cake as a 'congratulations!'" and commented on the surprise, "I was so happy and the cake was so delicious. I was about to cry."

She continued by expressing her gratitude towards her husband, "Everyday he is doing his best and working at full stretch for the company, for my works, and for our family. I owe him so much. It's because of him that I can sing the songs I love, and create works that I am satisfied with. Rainbow Road is, without a doubt, an album that we created together. Thank you always for everything."

The couple tied the knot back in 2009, and is now expecting their first child.

CDJapan lists that a B3 sized poster will be given as an external bonus for Rainbow Road

Not that I need 1 since the covers are so bad to begin with

Seriously, posters again? I'm really not in a mood for posters; even then, my poster from that 3-Star Raw Blu-ray still hasn't been used yet...

not her best look

Bigtop 10th April 2015 06:47 AM

I'm kind of concerned whether Ayaka can get a #1, after what I'm seeing with miwa and Ayu that is going on this week. My main concern is about the 'recycled material' that may have hit miwa significantly, but then again this is her first studio album in over three years... (actually, miwa's album number drop hit isn't as significant, but still, Masaharu Fukuyama was more popular...)

Just look at the competition for next week and we'll have an answer about Ayaka's no.1 chance. Personally I don't care and I actually want it to do meh so ayaka can wake up and release good music again. Look at ai Otsuka. She's a flop in sales but is releasing her best album possibly ever. But that's just me.

The biggest competitor that is close to Ayaka would be Miyavi - but he's Japanese rock. Not everyone has that taste of Japanese rock, but even then not everyone has that taste of Ayaka either.

I'm pretty sure Ayaka has a good chance for #1. I'm just concerned whether Miyavi is going to unexpectedly upset Ayaka, but I'm at least 65% confident...

She'll be fine
Check generasia's page on miyavi
He hardly sells anything apparently
