TeamAyu2004 30th January 2014 01:46 AM

Awesome! I missed the Grammys but I was told this performance was amazing!

NintendoHTF1242 30th January 2014 05:04 AM

Yay! Congrats! I'm glad to see Dark Horse has become popular. Love hearing how much praise it gets from my friends who aren't as die-hard Katy Perry fans as I am.

Hehe i know that feeling.

She is shooting the video with eqyptian theme

George 1st February 2014 11:28 AM

I really liked her performance at the Grammys. It's one of the few that were memorable. Oh, actually I don't remember any other performance except hers and Kendrick Lamar's.

I'm starting to appreciate the second half of Prism. I really really love Love Me, Ghost, This Moment, Double Rainbow, and of course By The Grace of God. I still can't quite appreciate International Smile though.

I still have to watch her performance! Glad to hear it was interesting.

To date, the only songs I don't really enjoy are: Birthday, Walking On Air, International Smile, and Spiritual.

I can digest everything else though. By the Grace of God is still her magnum opus to me, while Love Me makes me feel happy.

Some people are saying that this album is Katy's Born This Way, it's only selling good because of the huge success of its precedent (Teeenage Dream). Going with this theory it means that Katy's next album won't have such great numbers and will flop on charts like ARTPOP did.

Either right or not, to avoid any of this I think Katy needs to put out the best PRISM singles and don't pull up an "Uncondionally" again...

NintendoHTF1242 5th February 2014 08:33 PM

But PRISM is actually good, unlike Born This Way...

marty 5th February 2014 08:34 PM

^^
Umh... interesting. I really don't think so, though.
PRISM sales seems to be growing steadily, without the initial blast Born This Way had. Now, when a lot of people gather to buy an album the very first day doing the numbers Born This Way did, it may be more because of popularity than good music. But when the sales are just going fine, nothing outstanding, but not doing badly either, I think it just means people are liking the album, hearing others talk nicely about it and deciding to give it a try, and not regretting it, and in turn advicing it to their friends. She started with nice, but normal numbers and she seems to keep it that way. If America was so crazy about her I think they would have bought a lot more on her first week, like with Taylor Swift Red or Born This Way before.
But I think it's true she's definetely more famous now thanks to Teenager Dream. There's no way to see how her next album will go, though. I mean, who would have thought Beyoncé would have sold that much with a dropped bomb like her last album? It's impossible to predict these things. Gaga and Katy have a very different history, it's unlikely they're going down the same pattern.

NintendoHTF1242 5th February 2014 08:35 PM

If I recall, Gaga was also selling the entire Born This Way album for 99 cents on Amazon download as well; which contribued to the high sales tbh

I don't to turn this into a bashing fest, because I love Gaga and Perry respectively, but PRISM is a well-done and great album. Bitches just mad their faves could never.

:yes I pretty much agree with everything you said and to add up, Katy is obviously the face of USA, people there love her and she is very carismatic with her audience, it's almost like Britney Spears 2.0 (before her colapse).

I kinda disagree, Prism manage to pull out another hit after roar like dark horse whilst born this way only have the lead single selling strong in addition of 99c. American loves Katy. I believe her next album will sell well. Finger crossed*
