No. it's when everyone ditched the 90s RnB sound. Because it wasn't the 90s anymore. Around 2002 is when the popular music sound in general started to shift towards a new sound. It happens every 10 years. (60's music, 70's, 80's, etc.)

No, not that we would now. Girl is drinking and partying from time to time like most people do and there are a few pics of her with a drink in her hand. But some people make a big deal out of it just because they personally think alcohol = evil.

There are few articles about how ayu drinks in gay clubs and bars (that's where she knew Leslie Kee). She did not just hold a cup of wine, but she could drink a bottle of vodka or something.

She once said she had a mini-fridge at her house full of nothing but beer, and when I joined TA she blogged a few times about how she was trying to cut down, and she knew TA members worried about her when she talked about drinking. Alcohol in particular was a pretty big problem for her until recently, she seems to have cut down considerably in recent years.

Her high standard in career causes her stressed and that is the reason why she drinks.

remember she has said she has had a numerous amount of addictions in the past, the Japanese fans are all like "no no she would never" but she has referred to being addicted to some type of drug because you cant have multiple types of addition to alcohol. One being most likely pain killers when she fell down the stairs and had to do PCDL the next few days, but I think she dealt with her addictions very well in the past, also a very common thing for a big artist to fall into. But now a days she seems all about good health. People shouldn't judge her from what she has done but how she has overcome each hurdle to strengthen herself

honestly the one and only song that I like in Utada discography is "be my last" but it's just perfect like that so Ayu can choose whatever she wants. nothing can be worst than "Happening Here"
