Maybe there's a reason why the songs were left out.

So that the next Best of album will have more value. :)

I just listened to the full album preview. and omg! hot damn!

I can't believe all of the bitching going on here. To me it sounds like Feel ver. 2.0 and I love Feel....so I don't see the problem here. To me all of the tracks sounded great. :shrug

And the lyrics? Ok, #1 Japanese fans do not give a crap about English lyrics and if they are good/deep etc etc., #2 when have Namie's songs ever been about the lyrics? I'm a huge Namie fan, but am I missing something here? And in terms of English lyrics in Japanese pop, I have heard far far faaaaar worse.

I believe this album would be better received with the Singles.

We would have had Singles with some basic arse fillers parceled throughout and more easily digested and nobody would have batted an eye because that tends to be how it goes.

But instead, we got an Album full of FILLERS with no Singles to be propped up by.

It's like going to see the Avengers and everybody is Hawkeye.

And to that signature above me with the different types of fans.....LOOOL! Is that ayumi as her own fan?! The decrepit state of her base! Doesn't seem like anyone in the back cares. LOL!

Delicious n Bold 5th May 2015 04:11 AM

Absolutely dead at the Utada fans. If I asked them what a nijiiro bus was they wouldn't even know. Shame on them for not knowing Utada's best song. And they call themselves fans. Lemme not.
Namie fans don't scream ... What is that. Desperate housewives? They scream... I don't even know actually.

All of the comments about Lyrics make me lol.
Just think of Hide & Seek, Do Me More, Fast Car, WILD, etc.
Seriously, Japanese lyrics didn't make a Namie's song more deep than her other that was mostly in English.
The preview's awesome in music quality and her vocal's greater than FEEL.
I'm glad that Namie's never made a song, MV or her voice dramatically chessy like WARNING.

NintendoHTF1242 5th May 2015 04:47 AM

Off-topic but I feel like Love Story really encompasses why I love Japanese music even though I do not understand much Japanese. There is so much emotion in the way Namie sings (as much as you guys like making fun of her being dead) and the melody is just wow so stunning. Such a beautiful and fantastic song.

Back on topic, the previews grew onto me. This album won't be shitty by any means but it's not gonna be better than FEEL but only time will tell.

Delicious n Bold 5th May 2015 04:48 AM

I agree about love story. Namie served a reverse warholian expedition with that song. I hated it at first but then I heard it at some tsutaya in Japan and fell in love.

terra 5th May 2015 05:25 AM

I love Love Story since the first time I heard it, it's like a sad version of Baby Don't Cry.

I don't have a particular problem with the album musically, it's sth she had release before and I like her dancey music, maybe for the exception of Birthday (who reminds me of Katy's TGIF or Birthday) and Every Woman (who makes Hot Girls sounds better). For me the problem lies in the way the lyricist wrote the lyrics. I mean its not deep and cheesy, but there's difference between cheesy Japanese lyric and cheesy English lyrics, and English cheesy tends to be worse imo.

And lmao at S4MU3L's signature, if I love them all what kind of people am I? An Old-Kingdom-Hearts-Fanatic-Hunky-Housewive?

I don't really look for depth in my pop songs, but I think it's just the repetitive nature of the lyrics that got to me. The fact they're just excerpts lets me keep hope that the full album will just sound less 'samey' lyrics-wise when everything is in full.

That cheesiness is called emotion :yes Although I agree Ayu puts too much emotion into her stuff at times, at least its there. I would actually die of happiness if Namie portrayed emotion anywhere near that level :)

pommy48 5th May 2015 06:30 AM

I couldn't watch an Ayu concert whenever my mom was around cause she kept on making fun at all the dramatic expressions Ayu made :laugh

I'm fine with Namie's level of emotions. She uses it when she needs to, but she has a cool image with her songs and it works for her.

This is pretty much why I won't like this album, because I don't like FEEL at all.

I want this album to leak ASAP so I can get the three songs I care about and listen to them nonstop while I wait for the next single.

Zahara 5th May 2015 07:58 AM

S4MU3L--I died at your signature. It's so true.

Surreal17 5th May 2015 09:08 AM

I listened to the previews and I was expecting a bit more. I really like the first two songs, the slow songs and... Well, I may change my opinion when I hear the full thing. And where is the 80s sound? Most songs sound '10 EDM mixed with a bit of oldie.

There you go. If you do like a song a lot (even just raving to it) and you would like to sing it or sing along with namie, it will somehow start to get annoying singing the same stuff. Sing yeah oh round and round, let's party dance I'm a diva (and in one album).
Even kuu knows how to mix it up better, and in Japanese/Engrish.

The world knows how utada stans are the worst of the JDivas and it's quite a name to live up to. Or at least were since nowadays hikki is goner than a goner.

NintendoHTF1242 5th May 2015 06:06 PM

You mere peasants dare defy the name of Utada stans? I hope she smites y'all when she resurrects.

Delicious n Bold 5th May 2015 07:08 PM

Yaaas utada smite us!!
This implies that she's gonna release new music though!!!!!!!!!!
