Sakura Girl sounds cute, i can imagine them singing under Sakura trees ~ But the name reminds me with Arashi's My Girl *shrugs*

　ＮＥＷＳの加藤成亮（しげあき＝２２）が４月９日スタートのテレビ東京系「トラブルマン」（金曜深夜０・１２）で連続ドラマ初主演を果たすことが１２日、分かった。

　６人組のＮＥＷＳで連ドラ単独主演は、山下智久（２４）に続き２人目。「等身大で演技できるよう努めます」と抱負を語った。

　アパートの隣人のトラブルに巻き込まれた男が、知らぬ間に他の隣人たちをもトラブルに巻き込んでいくコメディー。脚本と演出は「弾丸ランナー」「蟹工船」などでカルト的人気を誇る映画監督のＳＡＢＵ氏（４５）でテレビドラマを初めて手掛ける。

　メンバーの手越祐也（２２）が０５年の同監督作「疾走」に主演しており、「手越から『ＳＡＢＵさんは素晴らしい方』だと聞いているので、今から楽しみ。現場ではなるべくトラブルマンにならないよう頑張りたい」と誓って？いる。

It was announced on the 12th that NEWS member Kato Shigeaki will play the lead role in the TV Tokyo drama "Troubleman" which starts April 9th (Fridays at 12:12AM).

Out of the 6 member group NEWS, Kato Shigeaki is the second to play the lead in a weekly drama after Yamashita Tomohisa. He spoke of his goals saying he plans to "Work hard to act the part".

He plays a man who gets wrapped up in the problems of his apartment neighbors and the story turns into a comedy as he suddenly gets involved in the issues of other neighbors as well. The script and producing are going to be done by movie director SABU known for popular cult films like "Dangan Runner" and "Kanikousen". This is SABU's first try at television drama.

Fellow NEWS member Tegoshi Yuya worked with the same director for his lead role in the 2005 film "Shissou". Kato Shigeaki promises(?), "Tegoshi told me that SABU-san was a wonderful person so I'm looking forward to filming this drama already. I'm going to work hard to make sure I don't become a troubleman on the set".

YAY. i love shige so much! but TV tokyo isn't one of the major and usual networks (NTV, TBS, Fuji....) so i dunno how the ratings can be. :(

It is at Midnight too. I hope the show gets good ratings, Shige deserves a chance to shine. Also I know Ohno's rumored drama was confirmed, but was Ryo's?

as far as i know, ryo's is still a rumor for now. i do hope it'll get cofirmed within the upcoming weeks, though. :yes

but seriously, shige does deserve to shine and show his talent. but at midnight on fridays? *sigh* :no
