Wasn't Ayu also #2 during most of the week when Mirrorcle World was released? Thanks to huuuuuge first day sales, she was able to keep the streak then! Like some people said, Kuu being #1 for one day was probably due to the new version released by mu-mo. I'm sure everything will be fine with Ayu keeping the streak :)

AyumiAi 25th September 2010 03:36 PM

sales usually increase on weeken, so im thinking she will have a boost.

Love kuu too but ayu's gotta win this battle! Guess I'll be buying the single this week after all :P by the way, what do you mean "like MW"? What did avex do to boost its sales and what was the situation in general?

From what I've understood, the situation with MW was that a boy band (Shuchishin) took people by surprise when they threatened to get #1 weekly instead of Ayu. During that weekend avex started promoting the single with offering special posters or something with the CD to rise sales. In the end, MW managed to scrape up enough sales to surpass Shuchishin, but it was a close call.
The whole debacle can be read in the old Oricon threads for MW. Most specifically this one: http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72515
(yes, I actually go back to read through old threads to learn the details about all these big Ayu-debacles)
(Ooh, AHS is crashing. Something interesting going on?)
EDIT: L-leak is out! :D Downloading...

kuu perform on the tv...i think that affecting the sales a little bit...
i hope ayu weekend sales will be stronger...

If you look at MW's first weeks selling figures you see that they go really high the last two days. And that was thanks to the concerts (AT08) Ayu had that weekend too.

But Ayu not beeing on the a-nation broadcast. What did her promotion staff think of? Didn't they think of the fact that it might boost up her sales figures since both blossom and crossroad appear... Big fail...

rakeru 25th September 2010 06:32 PM

Ooh, if the 5th and 6th day sell about 5k, it could get to 75k! :D

Heldin 25th September 2010 06:35 PM

oh, my! Why didn't avex make something special for Ayu's release at mu-mo ?? =(

It's probably in purpose to take advantage on both releases.

Heldin 25th September 2010 07:12 PM

ayumisrael, I see. May be we can expect sort of "surprise" in coming days.

Andrenekoi 25th September 2010 07:22 PM

Avex is not going to make anything against Koda, she is giving them money too ~~'

Mirrorcle Monster 25th September 2010 09:08 PM

I don't think avex needs to do something, Ayu will win.

I don't know how people could not agree that the whole thing is a disorganized mess. I don't know what Avex, she or whoever is thinking but I wouldn't be suprised if Shimomura starts writing all of her music soon.

Andrenekoi 25th September 2010 10:11 PM

It's hard to believe she did it for marketing, considering a-nation dvds sells +- 15k each...

They most likelly didn't had the time to finish it, and people over here are really overreaction... as if anyone besides people who already are Ayu fans and already is going to buy the singles ir caring about her part of A-Nation...

Bigtop 25th September 2010 10:42 PM

The TV performances Kuu made recently is making us really nervous, but Ayu's going to be on CDTV next week, so when Ayu gets #1 for this, only if she can hang on into it (unless there's a hard charge by Kuu), she's going to get her 25th consecutive #1 single; that's why don't get too excited because Ayu vs. Kuu might be the worst thing we might see since Ayu vs. Hikki back some nine/ten years ago...

But if it's just only mu-mo version that got counted late, we're safe. Don't know how things will happen when the next numbers come out in about twelve/thirteen hours or so...

Cherry Dynamite 25th September 2010 10:56 PM

You people worry too much. It's kinda irritating.

emi♡ 25th September 2010 11:05 PM

I sincerely doubt that Ayu won't get #1 weekly.

She might be #2 or 3 for a few days, but that's normal.

Kuu's sales will drop tomorrow. As everyone's do.

In any case, I think it's very plausible that if it comes down for Avex to choose, they will choose Ayu.

There really is no need to worry guys. Besides, this is a great thing for both Ayu and Koda. Be happy!

ayumisrael 25th September 2010 11:21 PM

I am happy ^_^

Thanks for the link! I was also wondering what everyone was talking about. Actually, as I was reading the thread, I started to feel nervous and excited for Mirrorcle World! XD It's like watching a movie you already know the ending to, but you can't help but feel nervous about anyway.

I feel like there's no way Ayu could lose this week, if she was able to win back then. There's already such a gap between Ayu and Kuu, and all of Ayu's hardcore fans are watching the charts to make sure she can get her streak for L.

Haha, it is a little fun to get worked up or watch other people get worked up, though. XD It makes it kind of exciting! I can't wait to watch the charts for L!!

By the way, do singles bought from YesAsia and shipped to NA count? And do they count on the first day (like preorders)?

primavera♥ 26th September 2010 02:50 AM

Ah number 2~ well let's hope her sales will be fine. Genereally however I'm happy they didn't drop much.
Lovely

Oh and kuu? Everyone worries so...I think we should wait until tomorrow to see if its actually a trend and then one should really be worried :)

I randomly checked the MW sales thread and saw how we struggled. This post reminded me how frightening I was:

That was in page 10. You can see that MW's 6 days sales was barely above SCS's 5 days sales (MW was released a day ahead, on april 8th). If MW released on normal date (April 9th, Wednesday), she would have lose the race and her streak. I was so thankful for avex's super promotion at the concert and the hardcore fans' willingness to support ayu. If they didn't do anything at all, MW would not get almost 30K copies on the last day of the battle.

Okay back to reality. Like what StrawbariSnowAyumi said, unless suki dex3 sales is actually a trend (i.e., selling another 10K tomorrow), I think there's nothing to worry about... (yeah.. I shouldn't worry myself :P)
