I really like the packaging for the deluxe edition. The booklet is so strange though xDD I loved the sample perfume though!

I can't believe I didn't like We Found Love at first...I'm all over it now!! Can't wait to listen to the entire thing.

brener 23rd November 2011 08:24 AM

Saw a pop-up on facebook about the album. Im not that fond of Rihanna, but I always give her albums a try (she has lots of good songs though) My deluxe edition of Talk talk talk is now 15% downloading, and i gotta tell you that im now too excited because I read all positive comments. Whooee, will give you guys my own personal review of it, when everything is on iPod and all and have listened to all the tracks :)

I can't believe you guys like this...I've been obsessed with Rihanna since the seriously flawless GGGB and Rated R, but after that it's been a steady decline. Loud was half amazing, half filler/crap, but this album is about 3/4 crap and 1/4 good. It's filled with so many crap repetitive, irritating hooks and as a whole it just sounds to me like the epitome of why I haven't liked almost all mainstream American music since 2009 or so.

The songs I DO like are: Roc Me Out, Farewell, We All Want Love, Drunk On Love, and Red Lipstick (because it reminds me of Rated R).

NintendoHTF1242 24th November 2011 02:47 AM

Hmm...idk how I feel about the album...Like bondingo said, it feels really rushed/full of fillers...Birthday Cake is my jam though omg <3

The ballads are really lackluster here. I usually enjoy Alex da Kid's productions but Farewell is meh...Jay-Z needs to find his way out of Talk That Talk, his part is gross. The only songs I like are You da One, We Found Love, Cockiness (Love It), and Watch n' Learn. Maybe the album will grow on me...maybe not. We'll see.

I understand what you mean, but I just take it for what it is:

Pop music. Mainstream, commercial, even hackneyed pop music. It is what it is :shrug

When I want to tune into my psyche I listen to M83, The Radio Dept., or something with more substance, i.e not Rihanna, Katy, fill-in-essentially-any-pop-act-here. When I want to listen to something fun and dancey and lighthearted, I turn to pop. The truth is, there was never an era of brilliance to pop music- it's always been the same crap recycled and rebranded. In the end, pop music is all about selling and making money, and this is what makes money. IDK, it's just my view of it and how I accept it.

i completely agree with this.

elvis810 24th November 2011 05:22 AM

i only like We Found Love, Talk That Talk and Drunk On Love...

GGGB was insurmountable.

ストロボ・EdGE 28th November 2011 04:16 AM

YDO MV, when will you comeeeee......

NintendoHTF1242 28th November 2011 05:03 AM

Well, the album is growing onto me! Still can't really get into Farewell (idk it feels really lackluster) and the track after Birthday Cake (honestly can't remember the name lol) but the other tracks are pretty good. Birthday Cake is so naughty XD The ending was unexpected too...never heard Rihanna flat-out say "let's ****"

ストロボ・EdGE 28th November 2011 05:18 AM

I'm not really listening to Drunk on Love, Roc Me Out, Watch n Learn or Red Lipstick. Everything else I've been listening to everyday since I got the album Monday~

I can imagine Talk That Talk being the next single, but jeez do I hate Jay Z's rap.

NintendoHTF1242 29th November 2011 03:52 AM

Ugh I wish Jay-Z wasn't in Talk That Talk :/ He's awful. What was her company thinking? And it probably will since Jay-Z is on it lol.

I also don't like Red Lipstick all too much, it's really boring (and I can't stand dubstep anyway [although I do love G4L lol]). Same with Fool in Love, it's too slow for me tbh. It goes nowhere. Do Ya Thang is okay.

Watch n' Learn is amazing though, idk what you talking about lol

ストロボ・EdGE 29th November 2011 05:31 AM

Jay Z is her boss, lol.

Kingdom 29th November 2011 08:23 PM

This album is still rocking my speakers. :heart I wanna buy it but my boyfriend is making me wait til christmas :(

Do Ya Thang is easily my new favorite. It grew on me a lot!

& I love Red Lipstick. How can you not like it!!!

ストロボ・EdGE 30th November 2011 12:17 AM

I don't particularly dislike Red Lipstick or Watch n Learn, I just don't listen to them. Just like I didn't really listen to CKB until it was a single.

emi♡ 30th November 2011 02:42 AM

Jay Z is ****. Why does he even have that job.

idk I love the album, but I think it IS repetative. I dont really mind though. I dont like any of the ballad acoustic-y tracks...cause I like dancy ghetto riri the best...so this album is pretty perfect for me lol

idk I dont take her music all that seriously, kinda like the koda. Birthday Cake <3 need full song. She better release it and it better not be a collabo.

TITANIC 30th November 2011 08:37 AM

heheh Jay Z is the one who made her success with Umbrella

brener 30th November 2011 09:31 AM

cant wait for Birthday Cake extended ver. *¬*~

btw, TALK THAT TALK sold 14,649 copies on its debut week in Japan, gettin the #12 position at Oricon Weekly Album Charts =D

No, she had a couple #1 singles even before Umbrella. In the end he discovered her, anyway.

SURREAL__RAINBOW 1st December 2011 01:21 AM

I think Jay-Z's part in Umbrella is annoying as hell lol the song is what it is all thanks to Rihanna herself :rolleyes
