Nope, people don't generally know that. Unless you are really a fan of someone you usually don't know who writes their songs. Most people I talk to are shocked to hear she writes her lyrics.(I think most people assume she is too ditzy/dumb to write) After that, I have been told that "well, maybe she writes her lyrics, but it is probably a ghost writer.":thud

this. people around me know ayu and some of her classic songs but never knew that she wrote the lyrics of all her songs. when i pointed this out, most of my friends (non-ayufan) would started saying something like, someone wrote it and she just put her name on etc :grumpy

^ All of this is so strange...
I mean... I assumed she was known most for her lyrics, expecially 'cause her first album has become famous and successful basically for the lyrics. I thought everyone knew that's her strong point.
Maybe it has been too long from A Song for xx XD But usually everyone I know whose into jpop is well aware Ayu is a great lyricist. On the other side, I have trouble convincing others she can compose too and that, in fact, she already DID. Even if with one pseudonym...

Well in the SMAPxSMAP episode Nakai asks her, "So, you write most of your lyrics?" and she said, "I write all of them" and that's when everyone was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? So obviously they know she writes lyrics, I think the assumption was that she wrote some of them, and the rest were written by other people.

It was hilarious when the host lost the thumb-game (not sure exactly what it's called) and he had to get smacked on the wrist by everyone! Ayu's smack seemed the harshest :laugh

i cracked up how quick she was with that like "ok lets get this done *SMACK*" xD she's so tiny and elegant and then BAM xD

also an other thing that cracked me up was how one of those that accompanied her down the staircase actually tripped, while Ayu was more stable in freaking heels and kinda ruined the purpose of the guy's "help" xD

TeamAyu2004 11th April 2013 12:14 AM

Her slapping him was freakin amazing!... lol. She lured him in with a false sense of security, and then BAM! lol
