i think the problem with artists sounding bad is the size of the stadium/open air design and how the sound is spread out around a huge area with a bunch of speakers

Oh my god, SpeXial was sooooo awkward during July 1st. I was getting secondhand embarrassment just from watching them. It's weird, it's like Ayu has no chemistry with them the way she did with Naoya and JUNO before this. Maybe someone set them up instead of being Ayu's personal want?

This whole a-nation was just a pass for me. The only thing I enjoyed was how hot Kuu looked. Literally nothing else.

Loved ayu's performances so, so much! :love My favorites were especially "Sayonara" & "Step by step". I actually kinda found it a bit funny, seeing SpeXial & ayu all on that stage...and including her backup dancers, the stage was just super crowded! :laugh :P But ayu's outfit was stunning, for sure. :luv2 And I'm sill in love with her casual top & shorts look during "Step by step". :luv2 ayu looked incredibly pretty & was totally youthful throughout the whole performance. :heart :)

The audio was SO BAD. The mixing's so bad, it made Last minute sound good. And her mic in Wake in up was so badly fitted it kept slipping off lol.

Also, the cornrows are back. Meh.

I love her performance... Although her voice is not really good especially in sayonara, and the head mic always moving on wake me up.. But i found out when she sang sayonara with spexial some of the audiences sat on their chair.. But when ayu sang her song alone most of them stand up and enjoy the song... But i also think that lots of ayu's fan come to that stadium.. Because i saw lots of her uchiwa in the videos..

Agree with you, but Ayu tried even holding arms with one of them lol I guess their appearance in July 1st was something from last minute, they didn't know what to do very well.

Whatever the heck was going on ´sound wise´ was sooo annoying. Especially noticeable during the first 3 songs. Sometimes it sounded too loud and others you could barely hear her. ANNOYING! She still sounded pretty good vocal wise in m opinion. She missed quite a few notes here and there but not her worst performance or anything. It was pretty good.

She looked beautiful for most of the show and then she had to come out with the a-nation t-shirt all cut up like that and with her weird fitting pants and the huge and awkward looking earring...:tired

Yeah not her best performance vocal-wise, but I think that's mosty due to the sound being out of control most of the time, so she was more focused on her microphone than her vocals. And it seemed to me that she had to scream during the chain part because you could barely hear her :tired I think that kinda ruined her vocals for the night, too.

Still, not too bad, especially comparing to her older lives (between ~GUILTY and the latest CDL). I was preparing myself to cringe before every high note in End roll, and was pleasantly surprised when she didn't shout them, even though she struggled to hit them sometimes.

I hope they provide better microphones for the next shows :D

As she wasn't the headliner, the whole sound set wasn't programmed having her on mind... This gets really clear when you notice she sounded off and strange even while talking and shouting to the audience. She kept the first 3 songs trying to sing around the issue until she actually got to a nice place during End roll. But microphone issues aside she herself didn't really sound bad.

Imo it didn't even work well for the headliners. I could barely hear BIGBANG's voices over the studio vocals. At least in Bang Bang Bang and Tonight, because I gave up watching after that.

So Kuu wasn't the only one with sound issues then. It really frustrates me when my top 2 artists (=reasons why I watch a-nation) are having sound issues in their performances. Ayu didn't sound that bad in End roll but the rest could have been better. I guess I gotta wait for a edited version and rewatch these.
