• Jolin has written lyrics herself this time as well
• This album will be her most honest one
• It looks like Jolin doesn't see the point of releasing a physical version of her new album, she's still thinking about it.

Has her releases always been like this?
I feel like she has been hesitant with this one.

MUSE has been delayed several times because she didn't like the demos sent to her. Same for PLAY at the beginning. MUSE has been released 2 years after Myself, and PLAY 2 years after MUSE. Before that she was basically releasing one album per year, but she was not as involved back then in her work as she is now.
She wants to talk about women and things "close to her" in this new album and she had a hard time finding lyrics saying what she wanted to convey, that's the main reason the album is taking so long to produce.

Now album progress is at 50%, way better that early 2018, it was at 5% if I'm not mistaken :P
I really hope it will indeed be released at the end of the year.

I can appreciate her putting so much care into this album instead of rushing to have a release by a certain time. I don't mind waiting longer for an album as it sounds that this will be a very strong body of work.

Not much about her upcoming album lately... Jolin said yesterday that half of the album has been recorded. The song she recorded with Ashin's lyrics is great and will be in the album.

She's been stuck for a month but stressed that the release is still scheduled for the end of the year.

Some media think as a consequence that she's pressurized to release her new album this year.

It might be the case since she has several collaborations with brands coming at the end of the year [shoe designing for brand Pony (new endorsement), and cakes with Migu Music]. They might help promoting the album.

Her agent confirmed as well that it would be released this year.

She was Chris Lee's guest performer at her Beijing concert on June 30th.


Chris Lee appeared previously as a guest performer at Jolin’s PLAY World Tour concert in Shanghai in 2016.


Jolin has been invited to be the new ambassador of 家扶基金會 Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) for their campaign 無窮世代計劃 Infinity Generation Plan.
