Came accross a blog stating that Ayu cheated on Nagase back in 2005, now that's something i had never heard of before today haha
Now that i think of it, i never imagined one day that Ayu could be a cheater, she's so passionate about love i think that would be so hypocritical to be a cheater and at the same time singing about finding your one true love lmao |
^ About why Ayu married him, Love songs as a whole and the Sweet Season PV give me the impression she felt she was old and need to marry and all that stupid social pressure thing. She seemed to want to be in love so she could marry more than she seemed like she met him and felt in love.

^^ Yup i got the same impression, it felt like that she was "desperate" to fall in love and get married at that time, especially when she got with Maro afterwards claiming it was serious, i was like "chill ayu, don't force yourself to get into serious relationships just for the sake of it". I was reallly afraid that she was making another mistake marrying Tyson so shortly after they had met, but it seems to be going well.
^ I think the rumor was on tabloids in 2005, so not in 2007 when they broke up |
^I believe you can really see Ayu maturing her vision on romantic love from Love songs to LOVE again
|
I can't find the 2004 NTV Interview on YouTube! Did the uploader remove it? :tired

Do you guys think Ayu regrets writing WARNING's lyrics? This is what she said about Diary on TeamAyu:

Does anyone have any other interpretations? |
She definitely doesn't regret writing WARNING's lyrics. She's been singing this song non stop since its release and she rarely sings 1 song at 2 tours in a row (excepting concert staples, summer songs etc.)
I think the toughest period when she "run" to LA was the Love again era and WARNING's theme deals with unconstructive critique and hate. The cyber bullying theme from her new album also deals with something similar. I think it was really unnecesary to apologize for leaving Japan, its not like fans are owning her.. |
The whole of A ONE and CdM was a reflection of her running away and then coming back. WARNING was definitely a conscious decision.
|
Yeah, makes sense. But I'm just really curious what she meant by placing Diary after WARNING, since she's stating that there was a reason behind that.
Actually I think CDM really had a concept. She didn't just throw random songs in to create a "boring setlist" (as quite a few people call it here). I'm bad at analysing stuff, so I can't really write about it in details. But I really feel like the whole show is about her career. |
^The way I see it, Ayu usually uses circus theme to refer to her life/career (A Museum was circus themed and a "museum" of her success during her 5 first years, RNRC delt with her relationship with the stage, her deafness and her feelings towards her career at the time after being the biggest singer in Japan). CdM opens with Ayu being the ringleader of a very dark circus, that looks almost haunted, singing about the coscience of being past her prime (Duty), the conflict between her public image and personal feelings and how superficial fame is (Pride) and a song about how the stage defines her as a person (Microphone). IMO it had her career as a theme.
|
^ Thank you! I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks so :)
This concept was one of the reasons why I loved the show so much. The other one was that she performed quite a few songs that I dreamt of seeing live |
CdM's concept overall to me was "welcome to my dream" which is why she shows up as a ringmaster at the beginning to open the dream... then we saw all those aspects of her career aka herself since "she is a dream" and then at the end again, we are awoken from the dream as she's back in her ringmaster uniform but a bit different from when the dream started.
The end segment of the main concert seems to have a theme from immature to Mirrorcle World, perhaps of a "destination" or "realization". Quote:

Makes me wonder just how far the organization goes lyrically since I am rather certain it is like that for her tours. Rewatching STEP you... oh my god this PV had like the best concept please redo it again Ayu |
Sweet scar started playing randomly. I hadn't heard that song in forever. Completely forgot how it makes me feel, always reminds me of a calm winter day with sunshine and silence, i just love winter <3 I absolutely adore that ballad, and her vocals in it.
|
Sweet scar is so nice and calming. LOVE and again were GOLD.
rainy day has a similar vibe but Sweet scar a bit more bittersweet. |
Sweet scar is definitely one of my favorite ballads of hers. It's simple yet beautiful, and the lyrics are incredible touching--I personally relate to them a lot! :yes
|
Sweet Scar is so lush and she looks the most beautiful she has ever looked in the PV.
|
The HAPPY ENDING~Secret~Last minute into ASFXX~Out of control from AT15 might be one of her best sections of a concert ever.

Wow, she looks beautiful there.
Just saw that Kana Nishino's new album may be out the same day as ayu's M(a)de in Japan. |
Whenever I see Ayu and her iPhone...
I think" "Just what songs from the most recent albums ended up almost in the toilet or trashed because of her deleting them?" |
