Ayu should stop teasing up like this and give us a higher quality preview. But I guess she is doing everything right, because it builds up so much hype. For now I like what I'm hearing

Lonely_Marionette 27th July 2018 07:40 PM

It's not much but I am liking what I hear from the two short teasers she's posted so far. So hyped for this relase!

Party_King 27th July 2018 08:31 PM

Ahhh! This little teaser is all I needed for this release! <3

There isn't really enough song there for me to really judge it but it sounds like it could potentially be my favorite song from the album. I hope it isn't like WARNING, I loved that song but these i'm tired of it. The preview actually reminds me of the early or mid 2000s rock.

Lol. Why stop there? We should get a 20th anniversary version of Thank U too. More lailailailalala than we can shake a fist at!

Also, loving the production quality from these two clips so far. It sounds like Ayu has actually tightened things up. Between this and covers, this is actually shaping up to be a quality release, even though it only has five songs.

Her go to for these kinds of songs tends to be Kazuhiro Hara so I wonder if it's him + tasuku for this song if not tasuku + tasuku, lol.

She was always influenced by rock. Every album has at least one track that has heavy e.guitars featured. And i'm living for that sort of Ayu.

Me too ♥

^
summerain is specifically talking about punk rock, though.

I'm not going to listen to any previews, since I heard two of the five songs.

I have to say, though, I really like the title TROUBLE and I thought it'd be great if there was a song by the same title. ;o; Will she ever go back to having title songs? That used to be the norm. With some releases, like FIVE and sixxxxxx, I don't mind, but I'd really like songs titled Colours and TROUBLE. Well. ;_;

BlackSilence 28th July 2018 11:30 AM

It's not far off anything else really just less polished. Ayu's stuff is usually polished more than what punk rock sounds like. I can only name a few really that would be raw enough to be punk. Not yet sure about the new one though.

The more guitars, the better. Well, I started to listen to her because of "strong" tracks like NEVER EVER, Daybreak. I remember hearing GAME for the first and I bursted into tears because I never loved a song that much. Last albums just had like 2 strong tracks while she should stick into that kind of genre. This track sound sickening.

BlackSilence 28th July 2018 01:09 PM

Yeah, i always end up absolutely in love with her heavier songs. She just nails them. Too bad they are offen less than few on the albums.

Corvina 28th July 2018 01:52 PM

Same with me.
Somebody in another forum said, she should go full pop-rock or rock instead of watering it down to make more impact and I agree so much. Made in Japan already partly showed, how it could work. Mad World and FLOWER are both fantastic.

Chibi-Chan 28th July 2018 02:09 PM

I always wanted a full rock album from her. Guess this will never happen.

My Story, for me, was always pretty close to rock album. It does have pop and ballads but the amount of guitars are pretty high.

I remember how we hyped about RnRC and it end up with 4 rock songs including the worst rock song she ever made :P i mean, Lady Dynamite...

Ashen Twilight 28th July 2018 04:15 PM

Was it ever co firmed that WORDS and WE ARE THE QUEENS are going to be on this album? Or is that just assumed?

Same. But I'm not sure if that's what the Japanese fanbase likes? She seems to more famous for her power ballads.
