I like the chorus of The Beat Goes On, but since I want to listen to Madonna and not some guy in the background, there are parts of the song I'm not too fond of. If that was the style of her new album I guess I'd be pretty happy, though I really hope most tracks will be Madonna songs, not Madonna feat Random Guy.

I like the Annie Lennox song; she has a great voice and Madonna's part is a nice addition to Sing.

Is this a real new pic or fanmade? It looks interesting.

My history professor made a Madonna reference today. He said that "Post Medieval trade transformed us into a material world, as Madonna would say." I immediately thought of Steven, haha :laugh

TBS OCTOBER 2007

MADONNA "TBD" (2 CD) 2 289404 WB
MADONNA "TBD" (2 CD + MVI) 9 289468 WB
MADONNA Best Of Remixes 2 231356 WB
These are tentative dates though and are subject to change, but once something is assigned a catalogue number it's usually a good sign that it's gonna happen and not just a rumour. TBS stands for "To Be Specified" and "TBD" stands for "To Be Determined".

Oh snap! October is looking like an expensive month. My guess is that these are the anniversary dealies since the album is slated for 2008. It's way too early for her to be releasing anything especially when they're still in the studio.

Cyria 24th August 2007 07:02 AM

Best Of Remixes is the one I'm interested in, I hope it includes new remixes of my favourites.

The new Candy Shop clip makes me really interested in hearing the full HQ song.

Is this a real pic or fanmade?

fan made for sure

I probably have to start taking back what I said earlier about "The Beat Goes On" in the "Odyssey" thread we have, because I'm starting to really get into the song. Though there are things that irk me about the song, it still is a pretty decent song especially in comparison to all the other pop that is out there. Plus, I like it more than "Hey You" so that's a start hahaha

Anyways I really wonder what the contents of the new CDs are. I'm hoping for remastered/reworked versions of her best songs and POSSIBLY the entire "Re-Invention Tour" on DVD... but that's probably wishful thinking...

Vinylfantasy 25th August 2007 07:38 PM

I'm glad that people are starting to give TBGO a chance. Often times we forget that the leaked tracks are still unfinished demos and they'll more than likely sound much different on the record. M is still in the studio and they'll be mixing and finishing everything in September so TBGO could sound more singleworthy in the end. Remember how different the Ray of Light demos were compared to the album versions? They're like totally different songs really.

*crosses fingers for RIT DVD* It's seriously a crime against humanity to keep it from us. It's the greatest concert ever.

Vinylfantasy 25th August 2007 09:43 PM

Blackstar beat demo. Kinda sounds like it could be from Candy Shop.

Do not hotlink.

Interesting little dealy about TBGO:

Play 'The Beat Goes On' and listen carefully to the lyrics. At 2.26 Pharrell says 'BLACKSTAR'.

Beyond the Sea 26th August 2007 12:51 AM

TBGO is beyond amazing. She did it again! :)

That makes me think it might be the album's name. I preferred the Odyssey rumour, though.

kotora 26th August 2007 04:22 PM

Sounds like the next album would be another non-stop album like Confession of Dance Floor.

Weslicious 27th August 2007 12:20 AM

I have so lost track of where this threads at. Suffice to say, the crap that is 'The Beat Goes On' = Hot Crap :D

Sooooooooooo grown on me. The only thing that bugs me is the 'wit you'.

This is the first clip of Candy Shop that I've heard, and it sounds a lot like crap to me. Hopefully it grows on me, as I've said the same about many songs, that I now like, the first time I heard them.
