I agree on both points. It would be a great title for Hikki to have, "last female artist to sell 1 million copies of an original studio album." And I also agree about the other artists, I don't see Ayumi, Kuu or BoA having it in them at ALL. Especially BoA. Namie's new BEST has a long shot at getting 1 million, but I still doubt it.

I certainly don't want her English album as her 10th year celebration cd. This will ruin it. I would rather see a best album (which again I absolutely dun want it as well) instead. The best will be that she'll release a triple A single. She has never done that and I think it will be good to see she heats up the celebration with some new JAPANESE songs.

And I dun really think HS will be the last female album to hit million. It's too early to say that. There's a possibility that her next Japanese album may hit million mark again IF the singles are doing well. Also, I kinda think namie's best may hit million (even tho it's not a studio album). I dun think BoA will be able to pull off million copies even if she releases a best. Look at Ai-chan, even AI am best could not pass 1 million. BoA's popularity is duller than Ai chan so yeah.. I just dun think so.

Last but not the the least.. HS is back to no. 9 today!!!

I'm not really expecting anything big and NEW from Utada Hikaru for her 10th Anniversary, besides "HEART STATION" of course. I mean we at least got an Album which is never a sure thing each year with Utada. Just making sure that she got an Album out for her 10th Year Anniversary may have been the extent of Utada's intentions for any kind of 10th Year Anniversary Celebration.

I wouldn't mind a complete DVD Compilation Set containing all of her Music Videos though.

That Automatic free ringtone (and First Love as well rite?) was not the actual celebration of her 10th yr anniversary. It's the celebration of START ENTERING (or stepping forward to?) the 10th anniversary. That is different. If she's not doing anything for the actual 10th year anniversary, I will definitely slap her, her dad, and the people at EMI. Not that she's not doing anything for us, but it's a major day for herself :P, so I'm expecting her to be celebrating, not hiding herself with Kuma Chang..

I dunno. HEART STATION is a wonderful album and one of the best of the year. But it's her 10th anniversary so it should be something more celebratory than an album. Sure Hikki doesn't put out an album every year but it's not like it's something sooo new from her. Having an English album out this year as well as a Japanese album would be a great treat for her American fans who may not be able to get her Japanese stuff / the people who wanna hear stuff in English. It would be kind of like her two worlds coming togehter for 1 year if that makes any sense lol.

According to wiki.theppn HEART STATION got #18 this week with 14, 327 copies sold which brings it to a total of 925, 217 copies!

I would say she'll be able to do another 10K this week [and then another 10K if we're lucky - isn't the last episode of Last Friends in 2 weeks?] which gets her to roughly 950K and then she'll sell her way to the million by the end of the year.

Hopefully. The sales was quite constant for the past couple of weeks until last week. I hope it's not the sign of HS's final heat is totally gone...

I hope consumers don't forget about the album once summer hits. That Celebrate remix thing better be super good. If only there were more commercial tie-ins! A part of me keeps saying that 50K by the end of the year may not be possible, that she'll sell close but short of a million. :(
