took me forever to appericate Days

I know I'm just weird

I did the same thing though. I loved GREEN and Days seemed too boring. Now it's the other way around. After the PV I need some time to cool off from GREEN, even though I'm still humming it at work :tipsy

I like to think that the remixes helped R/S sales but three versions was horrible :shakehead

lmao

if you think 3 versions of a single's bad , how about 4 & let alone 7 *points to KAT-TUN's DON'T U EVER STOP & Real Face*

:dead2 & yours truly bought all 4 editions of DUES -_-'''

I also liked GREEN from the first listen but Days seemed so mundane but it has grown a lot on me since. My friend said it's the Japanese culture to have so many varieties. If they see only 1 version, it's sort of like a turn off... Utada Hikaru CDs seem to be immune to this theory though.

I think 3 versions for R/S is quite standard. Now the USB thing for NL seems like a gimmick but a very beautiful and practical gimmick. Everyone could use an USB.

i dont think the remixes helped rule/sparkle...the remixes were awful...(the scoustic ones arent, i mean the others). i hate them so much hahaha i havent been able to even listen to them...

Yumsushi 24th April 2009 07:17 AM

I personally LOVE Green's CMJK remix and Rule's 80 Kidz. Infact they were so awesome that I had to have Version C. I thought the acoustic ones were boring.

jbrat2219 24th April 2009 07:56 AM

Yeah the acoustic ones didn't impress me as much as I'd hoped. They're still pretty though.

you can count with your hands the number of artists than can pass 100,000 copies... nowadays it is A LOT!

noidea 26th April 2009 09:31 PM

But nothing compared to her sales a few years ago(even if you calculate with the declining sales), for ayu, its nothing, a single seeling under 100k from ayu is just ...o.0...o.0...o.0

duque 26th April 2009 09:44 PM

^you really shouldnt compare her sales from even 2 years ago or so to her sales now..since there has been HUGE changes in the music and financial world

I used to think that to, especially when i saw the drop in sales between Rainbow and Memorial Address singles. But even when she was selling very well, she would sort of like get top 20-50 for singles sales and top 10 for albums on an annual basis. So relative to everyone else, she's still on top of the rankings, at least for albums. I agree that even if you compare relativity, she's not as popular as before but the drop is not THAT big if you look at it from this perspective. It's just my opinion :)

Singers in America have been selling terribly for a while now as well. Singles that sell 30k in the first week can still expect to get around #2 on the chart - that should show you the extent to which sales have declined heavily in Japan.
