Pop singer Hitomi Shimatani, who will soon celebrate her 12th year since debut, will release two best albums on February 23rd.
“URA BEST 2000-2004” and “URA BEST 2005-2010” will consist of 34 tracks in total, all of which have been featured on Hitomi’s singles as coupling songs since her pop debut under Avex. The first best album will contain coupling songs from her second single, “Kaihoku“, up until 2004’s “ANGELUS“, while the second best album will range from her 17th hit single, “Garnet Moon“, up until last year’s “Mayonaka no Guitar“.
These best albums will be exclusively released through online shops such as iTunes and mora.

So basically they are digital albums of all her b-sides? That's kinda... random. :eyebrow

I forgot about her last single but I finally listened to it and it's so beautiful! I love her voice. :)

Not sure what she's been up to...would love to get those best albums! Seems like a nice mix.

She also did an ending song for a show Hanakappa (hitomi did one as well I believe) called "うれしいこと" (Ureshii koto, or a happy thing) but I can't find the song anywhere.

Other than that...not sure what else she's been busy with. I was hoping for another studio album sometime soon :) I love her covers but enjoy her original works too.

I've seen the US tour of Rock of Ages, it's awesome. :D Hitomi is playing the female lead, Sherrie :)

So it seems she's also releasing a single on 3/7 titled "Shiawase Hakoberu You ni". It's a charity single for the Earthquake (kind of a little late on that huh....)
