But I have no idea why CDJ would update the shipping rate for Type B but not Type A. I wouldn't think they would weigh differently... :shrug

That said, maybe she ordered other stuffs with it so that her shipping fees would be of 2000yens~ already. If not, then I guess I'll send an inquiry about that...

Oh? That is pretty confusing of CDJ to do then. :P

Either they're adjusting charges randomly to people to offset their losses or they're using some undisclosed criteria like date-of-order or something. I suppose shipping method could have something to do with it as well; I don't think FedEx is as affected by package weight as much as normal mail services are, for example.

On a related note, my order was shipped last night (Monday morning in Japan) and it's still coming by airmail. I thought when a package is heavier than a certain amount (1kg? 2kg?), CDJ only sends it by EMS? Isn't that what happened with Kuu's "BRAZIL" photobook?

I'm with megumi. I ordered type A though (or which ever version came with the pvs), but didn't use paypal, and ordered from cd japan. They didn't update the weight or charge me differently from what I originally payed a few weeks ago.

It shipped today too. yay Can't wait to get it.

It's under 1kg so they can still use Airmail but it's a lil bit more expensive

it all has to do with shipping methods for CD Japan, I didn't get charged anymore either, but I used fedex. they are always cheaper with heavier/bulkier items then EMS, so you did not want to use EMS this time utena ;)

My copy of B was shipped out yesterday using SAL since I'm not the 1 paying for it xD but it's going to be really interesting when the album/photobook arrives in my house

HMV Japan doesn't list the CD + DVD B of MAGAZINE anymore which I'm not surprised that more people are buying it , cos of the DVD contents

Same thing applies to CDJapan too . Guess if you bought CD + DVD's of her 1st 2 EP's & 1st 3 singles , you wouldn't get A :O

This applies to me but in reverse. I didn't buy her first two releases, so I bought A to make up for it. Besides I like having 3 albums worth of videos on one convenient dvd. Instead of actually buying version B, and having to buy the first two albums and all her singles in cd/dvd format.

I have her 1st 2 mini EP's in CD + DVD which Sony BMG HK/Taiwan made them :p

I don't have any of her singles in CD + DVD's but I downloaded the VOBs of them & converted them to avi myself

so even if my friend hasn't got back to me on whether did she bought A for me on CDJapan , I don't feel I'm missing out on anything :O because honestly , you're only paying a lot more $ than usual for a photobook within an album since the tracklist for all 3 editions are the same
