Akanishi Jin to get his Hollywood debut through “47 Ronin”
Remember when we reported on the rumors about Akanishi Jin’s Hollywood debut? Well, as it turns out, he didn’t land a role in “Pirates of the Caribbean 4“, but he did pass an audition for his very first Hollywood movie. Nikkan Sports announced earlier today that Jin will make his debut in the movie “47 Ronin“, which also stars Keanu Reeves. Jin will join fellow Japanese stars Sanada Hiroyuki, Tadanobu Asano, Kikuchi Rinko, and singer Shibasaki Kou. He will play the son of “Oishi Chikara” (Sanada), the leader of the “47 Ronin” and friend to “Kai” (Reeves). Jin, who toured the States last year, garnered a ton of attention from J-pop fans, since he’s the first Johnny’s talent to ever perform on U.S. soil. Although he’s a popular household name within the J-pop community, he’s virtually unknown in Hollywood. Jin Akanishi clinches Hollywood movie role
Johnny’s talent Jin Akanishi will be Keanu Reeves’ best friend on screen in the upcoming Hollywood movie “47RONIN“, reports Sponichi Annex and Cinema Cafe.net on April 14. The well-known Japanese story takes place in the 18th century where a group of samurai avenge their leader’s honor by plotting to kill the man responsible for their master’s ritual suicide. Reeves will play the main character, and Akanishi will play his best friend. Other Japanese cast members include Ko Shibasaki, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tadanobu Asano, and Rinko Kikuchi. It has been reported Akanishi auditioned for the role and impressed casting directors with his English and confidence in taking on the film’s action sequences. “The theme in 47RONIN is one which is important to all Japanese people and now it’s going to be a huge Hollywood film. I’m very excited to be involved with this project, and it’s going to be in 3D. I feel fulfilled knowing that I get to work on a worldwide project with amazing actors like Keanu. I want to keep my own mentality intact, move forward without changing who I am, and be able to work in a world with no borders with music and acting,” Akanishi said. Shooting for “47RONIN” began in March, and is currently being filmed in Hungary. Scenes are also scheduled to be shot in London and Japan. considering that CHANGE UR WORLD & ULTIMATE WHEELS didn't sell as well as their previous singles , it wouldn't surprise me if WHITE is going the same path as before , sales wise :O
Anyway I'm sure Johnny-san will do anything it takes for KAT-TUN to secure the #1 spot after what happened to RESCUE where it almost lost the weekly top spot due to Yusuke's debut single Himawari , anything goes I say :p |

I'm rooting for DiVA because it's their debut and they are awesome but I think it will be an interesting day sales wise~ (It's also my Mum's Birthday xD) Diamond sounds like it's going to be nice!! Though PERFECT already made this single :yes |

Let alone DON'T U EVER STOP which were pretty horrid _|_ Didn't anyone realised that after Akanishi left the group , somehow or another , the cover artwork for their stuff have improved a great deal ? o_O |
