BUT WHERE IS SPARKLE??????????????

Yes it was very stupid to choose Rule over Sparkle as a remix to represent that single. Rule had remixes on the single! Sparkle has yet to receive ONE REMIX!

Oh please please please! I would love it if they did!!

On a side note, she is going to make me go broke.

Sadly, Rule is the main A-side of that single. So many second A-sides and c/w tracks have been forgotten... I wish we could've had a Sweet Season mix~

ohsixthirty 4th February 2011 03:02 AM

i'm sure i'm not the only one, but i'm a bit disappointed in the tracks chosen. i would have much rather had just more recent tracks on here than all these old tracks. it bums me out to think of all the amazing songs over the past couple of years that are being overlooked for not being an A side single. :(

but i'm still really excited anyway. :yes

Were all the previous ayu-mi-x considered house music?

I know! I hope Sparkle doesn't become the Susan Lucci of the Ayumi discography!

Lets keep our fingers crossed! It will take talent like theirs to make me like NEVER EVER or Grateful days.

O_O This is amazing news!!!!
I won't be able to afford it, though. >.<
It's nice to see they are doing old and new songs though. Something different for sure!

It wasn't predominantly house. There were a wide range of other electronic music dance genres as well. Umm.. Dub mixes, drum n' bass, disco, stuff like that.. In fact, there sometimes is a bit of trance in ayu-mi-x! :)

The most housey ones were probably glitter X SOUL CENTRAL and talkin 2 myself x STONEBRIDGE. At least those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

REALLY excited, but the tracklists are really disappointing... why all these old songs?

tokyoxjapanxfan 4th February 2011 06:11 AM

Granted a lot of the old songs have been remixed before, aside from the Eurobeat disk, most of the chosen songs haven't been remixed in whatever remix category they're in.

for instance: in the acoustic orchestra album, the only song that's ever had an acoustic orchestra version prior to ayu-mi-x 7's is NEVER EVER. (Trust had an acoustic, but it wasn't orchestrated)

for the trance album, Endless sorrow (and I think one or two others...but I don't remember and I'm not looking at the tracklist right now) have had trance remixes, but the other songs included have not.

i don't know what exactly qualifies as house music (is the normal ayu-mi-x similar to house??), but considering she's never had a house album, i'm sure most of the songs included haven't recieved a house remix.

the eurobeat disk is the only one with a lot of tracks that have already had eurobeat versions created. (unless my house example doesn't work haha)

so basically, she obviously tried to make it so a lot of songs that didn't get remixed in the past as trance or acoustic or whatever have the chance this time to recieve it.

Only some ayu-mi-x songs have been house - I named a couple of them above. House music is characterized by its predictable beat..usually called either "4/4" or "four on the floor" which makes it good for dancing. It usually has 128-130 bpm.

There are many different styles of house (electro house, progressive house, deep house, etc) so it'll be interesting to see what this album turns out like. Hopefully it's a mix of different house styles.

I agree totally. I'd pick new song remixes over old song remixes anytime, just because they have never been done before. ^^

Rule was actually the more popular song in Japan, which makes it a logical choice. Not to mention that it was the main a-side. Still I wish that they've actually done remixes of the album tracks as well.

Hmm, those were from silver and gold right? I didn't really care for those. I guess I'll have to wait and hear something before I buy. I think the only one I would probably buy right off the bat would be Acoustic cd since I know what to expect there.

Rebirthia 4th February 2011 09:56 AM

It's not random, it's just Avex.

Any older songs are already remixed to death xD

They forgot to remix 'is this LOVE?' for me :mgagged

Anyways, finally there is something to look forward to again.

kotora 4th February 2011 10:57 AM

I hope they are mostly new remixes but not recycling the old remixes for the new album.
