Change that into kitkats and maybe.

Yeah but eventually koda reached 100k. No offense but I don't think ayu could reach that :( . Because ayu already reached
Sales of: 1,612 which is a huge drop!! and her sales right now are a Total of: 66,515. :(

kuu hasnt sold 100K, she has shipped that much. Ayumi's album has already sold more than Kuu's single. Ayumi will get the gold if not this month then next.
Besides you want to talk about single sales lets just look at kuu's last single, Koishikute , it barely broke 20K.
there really is not point in comparing Kuu's and ayumi's sales. They both suck.

word.

I think this is the lowest Ayu will go before she makes a full comeback which brings her album sales to around 150,000 to 200,000 copies.

Ayu just needs to change it up a little and make it exciting to the public. She needs to release a hit single.

I'm not going to be depressed about the sales because I'm sure Ayu will make a comeback.....hopefully soon.

Delicious n Bold 18th February 2013 06:31 PM

A comeback?
She needs to visit namie or something.
She proved that it is possible.

Wow chill speedy. I was just making a statement cause someone talked about it before hand. No need to get emotional ok!! I'm just as depressed as the next guy in terms of ayumi's sales. You think I feel happy comparing kumi's single to an ayu album. I never thought I would see this day and for future reference. No I'm not gonna let it go, ayu is an amazing singer with great music and she doesn't deserve these sales.

Another BEST of or compilation album right now would be suicide.

All of this is the truth. If Avex didn't pull what they did, she might have sold more, and that's the sad fact of it.

KuuXAyu-fan 18th February 2013 10:59 PM

You don't even need to bring up Kuu to prove how the album is doing. Love the mini album did better than this release and that is really sad.

There is really no one to blame this time around besides Ayu for not doing any TV promo.

andycruize 18th February 2013 11:38 PM

I think ayumi need get hiatus, maybe 2 or 3 years, and comeback with 51th single. She need take a break.

andycruize 18th February 2013 11:48 PM

Oh and then while she takin a break, she can learn what her fans wanted from her, or she can travel around the world and find new idea to writing the song and hope she go to Indonesia, if I lucky I will met her and the first think that I will tell to her is please visit to www.ahsforum.com and read what you fans all around the world talk about u LOL

Tony G 19th February 2013 12:34 AM

Ayu's not going to take a long hiatus, ever. She's not interested - making music is her life and she'll keep pumping out the releases until she retires. If anything, she'll be back with another release by the Japan summer. We won't have to wait too long.

And I hate to admit this, but in hindsight LOVE again was just not to Ayu's usual standards. The mini tracks were mostly good, but the album as a whole played it too safe. It felt very uninspired - music for the sake of making music. I hope Ayu goes back to experimenting with her sound more. I'm over the nostalgia trip. It was her least memorable album to date for me, since A Song for XX.

Glad to see that this album hit #1 weekly, but wow the sales are bad. I didn't expect them to drop THAT much after Party Queen. Well... after she reached her peak several years ago, her sales pretty much have steadily declined. So I'm not surprised this album's sales are lower than Party Queen's. I figured that an album with conservative covers and conservative sounding songs would be more of an appeal to the Japanese public, but I supposed her overall image is pretty tarnished these days.

That's what I thought as well.
The covers and songs were safe, so that would equate to better sales.
I also thought that the mini album/maro fiasco also added some nails into the coffin.

Edit: she and xtina both stopped caring about their respective albums right after they were released. only it was ayu that gave up faster...

adantatu2 19th February 2013 01:37 AM

Ayu isn't even promoting this album, she is now on L.A, she doesn't care the sales anymore

TeamAyu2004 19th February 2013 02:08 AM

she has repeatedly said sales dont matter anymore.
Really nothing is going to help ayumi unless she because another person all together... it seems the general japanese public just doesnt want to see or hear her anymore.

cmon, u guys are still on this single/mini album thing? we all know that "again" and "LOVE" were released as min-albums so ayu wouldnt lose her strike, but they work together as singles! please stop complaining about that, we know avex for almost 15 years.

Ummm... her ever-increasing, yearly and sold-out tours of Japan say otherwise.

Lol it's the first time I've "complained" about it. Just simply stating an opinion as to why I think the sales dropped as drastically as they did. Maybe if they chose a different way, it would have a longer chart life.

I actually thought the album flowed pretty well and was a little surprised that it didn't do as well as the last album, but I guess lack of her promoting, public lacking trust in her after the scandal really did it. Either way, she's probably working on new material as we speak, and I hope the Japanese public can move past it. Clearly she has.

Also, why quote me? I was agreeing with someone else : )

Andrenekoi 19th February 2013 07:38 AM

The tour will promote the album...

That is true, but she tours every year. I feel at this point of her career that it is expected of her to tour lol.
