Oh god, don't even remind me of this lol. In the 10 years of being a fan I lost count of the times that this has happened

At least once for every album since Rock'n'Roll... or maybe even NEXT LEVEL.

"Oops, I deleted it from my feature phone!" - 2009 Ayu

"Oops, I dropped it in the toilet!" - 2010s Ayu

I still love the story about how she titled BALLAD tho. iirc she said she was writing the lyrics on her laptop and halfway through it she had to save it, and she had no title ideia yet, so she just saved it as ballad.txt
And she liked it

^ That's my favorite story. I can't think of a better name for it, though. I mean... BALLAD is BALLAD. It just fits. xD

Ayu is a queen with titles. theme of a-nation '03 though really has to get a new one however.

I think NOW & 4EVA is a bit more needy there, lol.

Though I do like her weird titles, like taskebab. I wonder what inspired that, haha.

Another one is kiss o' kill, but it's always thrown me off! Does it mean "kiss OF kill" (like kiss of death), or "kiss OR kill"?

truehappiness 19th May 2016 06:27 AM

I liked NOW & 4EVA. Styling though would be better and less obnoxious as NOW & FOREVER. But Song for you vs. Song 4 u is also a thing.

Remember the NOW & FOREVER c/w Gravity rumor?
That always pops into my head when I hear the song, haha. It's a good song too.

Song 4 U. .. god, it's such a good song but the title is so bad!
I always retitled it xD

//ABEST 19th May 2016 07:06 AM

i don't mind Song 4 u but NOW & 4EVA is little embarrassing

truehappiness 19th May 2016 08:13 AM

I am sure she had her reasons, lol.

Plenty of "really?" titled songs lately. Not so much on MIJ, but in general in the last few years, some of her songs have been named things that could've been Livejournal usernames in the early 00's.

Gustavopc 19th May 2016 03:04 PM

I guess she titled Song 4 u that way cause Song For You would be too similar to A Song For xx, maybe? NOW & 4EVA maybe to give the song a ~cool~ atmosphere? I don't think Japanese people see those styling as we do tbh

Surreal17 19th May 2016 06:25 PM

NOW & 4ADAM tbh
In Romanian, Eve is Eva lol

It may be a result of texting a lot lately and learning English that way as the years have gone by.

Perhaps. It creates the unfortunate thing of "this will be bad" in my head - unfortunate, because those songs are just as good as anything else she does, so it's unfair to judge based on first looks, but...it's hard not to.

Does it blow anyone else's mind that albums like Secret are like 10 years old?

WHERE DID THE TIME GO?

I got that album for Christmas, it was the first album of hers that I ever had lol.

I remember when Momentum premiered, the part at the very end where Ayu turns to snow was so shocking that I LAUGHED. haha. I was so shocked by that part that I laughed. Even thinking of that twist gave me chills

tokyoxjapanxfan 20th May 2016 03:46 AM

Actually to me that album feels pretty right.

What make me go "What?!" Is that Days is 8 years old in December. Haha

truehappiness 20th May 2016 03:49 AM

Even Rock'n'Roll Circus is 6 years old. That tour and album... 6 years ago?! Whaaa?
