It's interesting that Ken Ken is the rare older Sony Japan artist that still has real career momentum.
Mika Nakashima continues to chart just fine, but she's been stuck in a compilation cycle for years. Miliyah is finally hitting the point where her releases could start missing the top 10. Kana was still selling well, but she had definitely started declining before her exit. Just interesting how Ken has avoided those troubles. |
Next year is Ken's 25th anniversary in the business , just like V6 and both artistes are still going strong despite the changes in the music industry
Even up to now , not a lot of about Ken is known personal wise even though some bit parts of his personal life is known via his songs Such as his late dad's passing , his late dog's passing & most recently his friend committed suicide which Ken expressed all of his thoughts/feelings via his music and not on social media Even though now at this day & age where artistes uses social media to communicate with people , Ken is the rare few that does not do that . It's his staff that do it on his behalf That said with 2020 being Ken's 25th anniversary , I do hope he have plans to celebrate in a big way |

Not really a fan of Todokanaikara (Kan Sano Remix) but Ken's self cover of JUJU's Kawaisou da yo ne is really nice I probably be interested to hear JUJU's take on Kawaisou da yo ne since Ken provided the song to her With next year being Ken's 25th anniversary I hope in some capacity he will perform overseas , aside from Taiwan , USA & China on Christmas Eve My sister ain't a big Ken fan unlike me but even she said she would go see him perform should he ever perform here |
