But, seriously, though. Do the overseas version have an English translation sheet or Chinese one?

The scale of ayumi's Asian tour was completely unheard of. Running from March to June 2007, the tour mobilized a total of 180,000 people in Japan (Saitama, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka), Taipei, Hong Kong, and Shanghai and transported the 600-ton stage to perfectly recreate ayumi's Japan shows in cities around Asia. This DVD set contains exceptionally rare footage never seen in past tour DVDs that filmed only the final concert. It includes such precious moments as the wild reception of ayumi's Asian fans and songs performed at only a few stops during the tour ("Memorial address," "JEWEL," "momentum," and "flower garden").
I'm sure this is in the first post. And if it isn't, it should be.

i think you don't understand my humor :headache

but if you think a little...is a very potencial traumatic think you know
for 5 years i been waiting for english subtitles and every NEW year and new DVD tour with no subs is like a whisper in my ear:
DON'T SUBTITLES FOR YOU MY DEAR, you JUST DON'T COUNT FOR US... SO fXXX OFF!:dead2
the first time that i watched the MC segment...was very funnie wow! i love how ayu speak!
..now is just..well skiiiip

greggerz189 12th February 2008 12:57 AM

^that's too bad...

polka-dot-jewel 12th February 2008 01:59 AM

Well, nothing has been announced yet as far as subtitles go. True, there haven't been subtitles with ANY of her previous concerts (I think someone mentioned something about subtitles with VCDs, but those would be the only exception), so I wouldn't get TOO excited (or upset) over subtitles. I haven't seen any other Japanese musician with English subtitles in their concerts, so I highly doubt Ayu will have any.

If there WERE to be subtitles, though, I bet they would only show up during the MC, since that is where she just talks. (I highly doubt they would have subtitles when she is singing.)

perfectodub 12th February 2008 05:35 AM

yep....every year the MC are more and more longer (more than a tv show!)
and at the same time...every year watch the MC without subs is more and more...tedious and sAd :(

i have a question...how ayu do the MC segment for her overseas tour perfomance?
i mean..about the lenguage

She speaks the beginning of the MCs in English and the rest of it in Japanese with some Chinese in between.

And at the very end, it's a lot of "THANK YOU" and wo ai ni ______.

only chinese, since it's done by taiwan. if the DVD gets release in US, maybe the company there will sub it or translate in english. But as long as it's from hongkong/taiwan, expect only chinese.

She spoke cantonese in HK. It was funny to hear ayu say her name in Cantonese!! which translates to "pan kei po" LOL.

Well i guess they didnt include the subtitle is cos they may think that its not practical since the main market is still in japan. Or probably ayu still hasnt reach the english speaking countries yet (referring to US and others).

truehappiness 12th February 2008 11:27 PM

Gackt'S Concert DVDs have English subtitles but not for the concert itself and the translations aren't exactly great. Still, it's better than nothing.

LacusClyne 13th February 2008 02:07 AM

i'm impatient, how come the cover is still not out yet?????

truehappiness 13th February 2008 04:10 AM

It'll probably come out tomorrow or even tonight!

But most likely, before the end of this week. If not, then next week :|

alternarist 13th February 2008 10:39 AM

^ that was what i was predicting too. either this week end or next week beginning. cos i noe they usually give us 3 weeks to admire the cover before releasing it. :P

Jordan 13th February 2008 01:51 PM
