I'm really enjoying Late Show (it's ridiculously space-y hahha), ATTITUDE is ok..

Stand Up! is quite messy...and there's like no emotions.

I feel like I say this over and over, because I do, but hellcat is her debut album, hence why it says so at her official site, every shop, etc. this is her first mini-album

I agree that all the songs on ATTITUDE sounded the same, that's what blows on that mini-album, and also the fact that there was three interludes. They were good interludes, but I don't think it was necessary to have three... I'm already craving news of a single.

really ? I think for hellcat's case , I was very surprised because I didn't know that the album tracks on there would be great despite the fact that Kuroki's not a singer to begin with

what I realised's that for hellcat , pretty much all the songs do not sound the same & has their own unique flair attached to each song

for ATTITUDE , man I have to take like what a lot more listens than usual to distinguish the 6 songs & it was quite difficult :thud

Are ya Ready ? & Kind Of Guy were easy because I heard the instrumental demos pieces on her site before the album was released & that goes for Late Show & Awakening too

anyway I still will get ATTITUDE haha , it's just that I'm waiting for Sony BMG HK to announce a HK release for it T_T

I made a mistake ordering the CD only of hellcat because I didn't realised Sony BMG would bother to make a OS press / CD + DVD for it LOL

i prefer the musical production on "ATTITUDE". with the release of this mini album, i think she's trying to gain a specific sound & i think it achieves it. well. i honestly think "Are ya ready?" is her best song in her disco so far. also, her voice is a whole lot better in this mini-album.

i mean, i liked "hellcat" also, but tbqh, i only listen to "Hear the alarm?" & "Bad Girl" nowadays only.

I have to say, hellcat was enjoyable, but most of the songs sounded the same to me, and the lyrical content was extremely similar as well. Of course, that can be a good thing, because it creates a theme for an album/EP.

ATTITUDE is fun, "Are ya ready?" is one of her favorite songs for me now, but it was definitely too short. =[ I hope for another single in a few months. =D

I'm not even sure if she will release a full length album & if so , I have a feeling it might be all the material taken from her mini albums & they just combine everything together D: just like what happened for OLIVIA's case

I hope it's not true but yeah I welcome 1 in addition to another single of her

What!? That's a horrible position for her!! Oh man, this is like Yamada Yu's story all over again....

^what happened with Yamada Yu? Did she quit making music after low sales? That would be bad - I like her very much, and I hope she will release some more music.

For Meisa: At the moment I only really like Awakening on ATTITUDE, I have to agree with most people, I think hellcat was the better album. But maybe I have to listen to it a few more times, because I really like hellcat and maybe ATTITUDE will grow on me. Low sales are a shame, though.

I like Meisas voice, but from what I've seen on TV shows, she's not the most entertaining person. Maybe she's just shy. Personally I think she's relying on her beauty too much, especially when acting, she plays it safe - that makes me think she hasn't got much talent in the acting department. That and she's always cast with great actors, so they usually overshadow her.

yamada yu never quit music. she just got decent sales with her first 2 singles (or maybe it was just her first single?) and after that she just declined, sadly. :( but i think meisa is still doing better on the charts. at least she charted? :P

I have seen her act in One Pound Gospel & Ninkyo Helper & I believe that she's the type of person that's like me in that on 1st impression , she's cold & quite haughty

but I think as you get to know her , she's not like that at all . My french friend Nat translates her blog entries & from what I read , she's not like that at all

It's an image, but if you act, you have to leave that image of yourself behind, and become the character. You described it quite well. She seems cold. Maybe she should play an more quirky, innocent character - if she puts that off, one could say she's got it. As it is now, I think the reason why she's casted that much is her beauty. She's a gorgeous woman and that appeals to most viewers. I have seen her in a variety of films and movies, like Kaze no Garden, Haikei - Chichiue-sama, Crows Zero, Byakkotai and Subaru, a movie where she plays the lead. Like I wrote before in all these, the other cast members outshine her by far and she leaves little to no impression - at least to me.

But in the end it might be a matter of taste. I just think she's not as talented in the acting department. It's a shame, her sales are so low, I wish she would focus on music, because this is what I think she does best (and modeling, she is a real beauty).

I watched subaru yesterday and her acting was quite different from one pound gospel and ninkyo helper IMO. She was all sweet but at the same time very serious and a sad person.

It seems I don't get the same impression about her acting as you. :/

Subaru was shown here in cinemas at my end last year but from what I know , the theatres were packed full of TOHOSHINKI fans cos they made a cameo there xD

anyway from One Pound Gospel & Ninkyo Helper that I have seen of her , I think she does fine as an actress . Not the best but certainly not the worst imo

it's just that it took me a while to remove that nun image of her cos what she played in One Pound Gospel & sang/does in hellcat are SO different big time :laugh

That said, I like her acting in Subaru the most. Maybe because it's so dance oriented, and it was really only her and no overpowering other actors. But she also doesn't get that much screen time, the actress who plays her character as a child is in it as much as she is. For me it's like she always seem to play the boring beautiful sidekick-girl/love-interest/daughter without too many character-flaws, to any male guy. So she is typecasted and I hope to see her in some other roles. I don't hate her acting, I just think she is average and leaves room for improvement. But this is just all my opinion obviously. I also don't think Yamashita Tomohisa is a good actor, quite the opposite but he has a lot of fans and is often cast. It just depends on what you like in your actors.

No, she is not the worst.

But growing up in an catholic country, knowing nuns personally and all that I just can't take One Pound Gospel seriously. I know it's meant to be fun, but the concept of cloisters and nuns in it is just so unrealistic, so I don't really feel the drama and her character, too. Same for Ninkyo Helper. I like that drama and all but come on, a girl like Meisa Kuroki as a leader of a Yakuza group? Would never happen. :D But that's drama for you...and she looks good and fierce as always.

Man that all sounds like I don't like her at all, which I do. Believe me. ;)

so ATTITUTE turned me down....I was hoping that I will like the album but after first hear only ones I like are Are ya ready and Intro. Covers and PV are great but songs...I dont know maybe some of them will grow on me...
