by the way, do you only have one ticket to sell ? My boyfriend and I are going, I'm just looking at the prices right now and it seems I would maybe be able to get a better seat

Luja. 11th June 2011 02:39 PM

Actually I am not sure now which way I will sell it. But it would be only one ticket, yes. I think I will still try my luck at the reseller and if I can't trade, I will just have to with seats that aren't so close for 24th...

EDIT: I just talked to a Japanese friend about trading tickets at a reseller and she asked me not to deal with reseller stores at all. Is it a bad thing to do? I already heard some people in Japan don't like reseller shops, but why?
I mean, it's not like I want to sell the ticket for profit, I just can't use two tickets for the same date but want to attend both dates, if that's possible for me.

Matthew 11th June 2011 08:27 PM

I'll be there on the 23rd / 24th I think. 4 years in a row!

Need to get hooked up with some tickets first though ;)

They probably don't like them because resellers always buy TONS of tickets the moment they go on sale and then sell them for much higher prices, so tickets end up being more expensive and harder to get. I dislike resellers, too :innocent (Doesn't mean I'm not gonna buy from one though obviously)

Luja. 11th June 2011 10:24 PM

^ oh they buy lot of tickets themselves, too? I thought they get most tickets from private persons who sell to them. Well, that kind of makes sense.. still I think for most international fans who want to attend ayu's concerts, especially if they decide last minute, it's the only way to get tickets sadly..

greggerz189 12th June 2011 01:30 AM

Yeah, they go and buy up a bunch of tickets at the convenient stores and whatnot when they go on sale and then end up doubling or tripling the prices when they re-sell them. I got lucky on the second day of Ayu's Yokohama concerts because when I was hanging out in front of the arena, some girl just came up to me and said she'd give me her ticket at retail price and they were fantastic seats--D-Block, Row 6 ^_^.

Yes, Luja!! The friend I mentioned to you in the PM is Matthew, he posted right below you lol!! ^^

Anyway, the thing about reselling tickets is that the Japanese feel that it's immoral, since you're using people's love for their idol to earn money. In Japan, I think it sort of amounts to a crime to sell your ticket to these shops to earn money, fellow fans don't take kindly to that. :shrug That's why many fans would rather stand around outside the arena and sell unwanted tickets at original price, then to sell them at the reseller's.

I'm quite familiar with Yoyogi's layout, so if you can tell me your seat number, I can tell you where you'll roughly be. ^^

Luja. 12th June 2011 01:06 PM

Alright, now I understand. Oh oh, this whole ticket thing.. I just wished I got tickets for 24th from TA, too, just like I got the 23rd ones from them. That'd have been a lot easier. Well, I will have to wait and think about it again.

Wohooo! So many people omg:laugh
If some of you guys will be there a bit early, you can see me & Lee^ChaN camping in the goodies line for those awesome hotel key strap thingies that they only sell there!;)

Utena 12th June 2011 01:55 PM

^ I'll come early as well i think, I have to get those also x)

@ Misa-chan : okay I'll ask my friend to check the tickets first ~~ ! Thanks <3

greggerz189 12th June 2011 04:04 PM

I just sent these re-seller prices to Luja., but I figure you all might find them useful as well. They're from Yokohama Ticket in Shibuya for the 7/24 show at Yoyogi, and they're rather pricey...

Arena:
A5 – 40,000JPY
A6 – 50,000JPY
B1 (Somewhere between Seats 60~90) – 33,000JPY
B1 (Somewhere between Seats 90~120) – 56,000JPY
B1 (Somewhere between Seats 80~130) – 28,000 JPY
B5 (Somewhere between Seats 90~120) – 50,000JPY
B7 (Somewhere between Seats 20~50) – 24,000JPY
B8 (Somewhere between Seats 50~80) – 24,000JPY
D3 (Somewhere between Seats 10~40) – 20,000JPY

Stands:
South E12 – 12,000JPY
South J13 – 12,000JPY
South H8 – 22,000JPY
South H9 – 22,000JPY
South E16 – 12,500JPY
North L1 – 26,000JPY
North C15 – 13,000JPY
North K11 – 15,000JPY

As for fans selling their tickets outside the arena like Misa mentioned, that's how I got into YokoAri on the second day at retail price and I had incredible seats XD. It makes me want to just wait outside the Fukui dome to see if I can get lucky again! :lech

greggerz189 12th June 2011 04:07 PM

By the way, I love seeing us Ayu fans being all diligent about tickets to her concert~ ^_^. Makes me remember that I'm part of something special.

miki_beland 12th June 2011 04:08 PM

which are the first floor ones?

greggerz189 12th June 2011 04:23 PM

If the seating arrangement is the same layout as the one in Yokohama Arena, then probably any of the seats labeled "Center" (which, ironically, do not seem to be available for the Yoyogi show on the 24th at the Yokohama Ticket reseller shop in Shibuya), and likely any of the Arena block seats from rows 1~5. For example, B1 would mean that you're in the B-Block, first row (which is why those tickets are so expensive).

HilaryDuffFanboy 12th June 2011 05:11 PM

The layout is different because its an all around Stage.

In Yoyogi, blocks C and D are at the front as well.

Utena 12th June 2011 05:55 PM

well the cool thing with this tour is that any place is good I guess, I don't really care not to be in the front row, I just want to be there and enjoy the concert <3

Matthew 12th June 2011 07:25 PM

I've been in the arena and in the stands for her shows. Good and bad things about both. I enjoyed being higher up last time, so I could get a good look at the stage. Although being on the ground, it's more likely she'll see you, better chance to grab streamers etc...

I took this video at Saitama last year:

miki_beland 12th June 2011 09:17 PM

i'm probably getting second floor seats, is it too bad?

Lucky bastard I sold my extra ticket to was 4th row from stage, 1 seat from catwalk (I was next to catwalk) and caught the A ball for only $100 I think I sold it for. So yeah, definitely lucky.

greggerz189 13th June 2011 03:29 AM

@miki_beland: I think those would be fine seats, actually. You'll definitely have a good view of the stage, regardless. Given the way she set up the venue this year, it's going to give you the opportunity to see her rather nicely regardless of whether you're on the floor or in the upper arena block.

@Zeke.: Oh wow, that's impressive. Well-worth the $100 for that guy, I'd say ^_^.

Misa-chan 13th June 2011 08:40 AM

I got Arena Block B1 and B4 seats!!! Looking forward so so so much!!!!!!!! I hope I can really get close to ayu this time~ I've spent so many concerts watching her from a distance, and the closest I've ever got was 9th row from the front and the interaction with everyone on stage was just awesome!!!!!! :D
