oh my god that sucks SO HARD DDDDDDDDDDDDDD:
|
Was looking forward to having my dreams come true. But then this happened. I'm so disappointed right now. :( I have a feeling it's due to bad ticket sales. After all, plenty of seats are available for all the sections except the cheapest.
|
^ what size venue was she supposed to be performing in? I'm assuming it's an arena of sorts, but do you know how many people it seats?
|
^ Seats about 12,000 people. But that's when it's at full capacity. Usually with concerts it's about 8,000. But the ticket sales were really expensive for the general public to buy I guess. Only the die hard fans - who could afford it I might add - would buy it.
The cheapest seats were going for US$136. And the most expensive one which I bought (along with a few others here in AHS) costed about US$230. |

What on earth...all dreams are dashed.. T.T
i thought the day I could watch a Japanese artiste in Singapore would finally come and now... :( now i daren't hope for any other Japanese artiste to hold large scale concerts in Singapore. this sucks... |
I feel so bad for all who wanted to go! :(
But with those prices... I guess they kind of overrated Namie's popularity. |

Pretty sure the Namie fanbase here in Singapore is pretty sizeable, easily more than 8,000. But the amount of people who are willing to pay that amount, not so much.
Typical concert ticket prices would range from S$48 to S$500ish depending on the event, artist, etc. Lady Gaga's concert here had the same price range as the Namie one, but of course, it's Lady Gaga, people would go for that. As for the S$500ish one, I know there was this once the Jonas Brothers came and the most expensive one was S$500+ but no one bought it. But the rest of categories were sold out so the concert went on. But on average, front row seats would cost maybe S$218. I think for the Namie concert, it would also require the general public and casual fans to go for the concert since there aren't a lot of die hard fans who are willing to pay/could afford the tickets. And I'm pretty sure the general public/casual fans wouldn't want to pay over S$200 for seats on the stands/at the back. |
I will admit too that i'd be super hyper if Namie, Kuu or Ayu came here for a concert. I just dont have the funds to fly over and do stuff in Japan. Actually Im getting close to being able to afford the very basics of the trip (airfare, meals & hotel) but i wouldnt wanna go without any loose spending money. Im hoping to have enough by next year. However i do know if Namie came here this year i'd end up blowing a chunk of that saved funds just for the best seats possible along with several goods at the venue. :heart
So i guess for myself i'd merely jump as a once in a lifetime chance. |
Holy crap...those tickets are expensive! I remember the front row seats at the Taipei arena were around $150 X_X
|
Someone pls tell me this is all a joke: (

Kyary's meet and greet tickets were only $100bucks here in NY
Namie's tickets are super expensive! |
The starting price for those tickets are WAYYY to expensive. I bought some Justin Timberlake floor seats for $275 per ticket, and they started around $60 something, but having tickets start around $130 is just the worse money-making route ever -__-; I'm surprised they didn't change venues?! I know for one of Gaga's shows, they had to change the venue due to low ticket sales :/

I saw B'z at the Sound Academy in Toronto, ON back in September for about $75CAD. However the Sound Academy is a rather small venue. Its actually more closer to being a night club type of place. Still the show was awesome. I was surprised how cheap the tickets were, but heck, Im not complaining. ^_^
I guess overall i dont complain too much cuz i'm used to buying expensive tickets. i hate being so far back u cant see much at all. plus partly just cuz i get so excited... like a child getting a large piece of candy. Only quote i can think of to describe it is when Fry says "Shut up and Take My Money!" LOL and i think if i had chance to see Namie live i'd act the same way. ^_~ |
Yea... I've never paid that much for tickets but I feel sorry for those who were looking forward to seeing Namie. Any chance of rescheduling?
|
^ I doubt it. :(
I remember when MISIA came and it was a smaller venue. I think it was 3,500 to 5,000 seats. Not sure. Because the artist had a choice of using half, 3-quarters, or the whole hall. And I doubt she used the whole hall though, which seated 8,000 people. But I think at the same time, the tickets weren't really expensive. |
NEW NAMIE COMMERCIAL!
I submit myself and my body to this commercial. The end had me dialing 911 to save my own life. |
