I love Pray to death but I agree that the song is about a minute too long.

ExodusUK 4th November 2015 03:02 PM

This is lovely. She sounds so strong and clear, no hint of the dreaded vibrato.

ayumisrael 4th November 2015 05:42 PM

But ayu without the vibrato sounds emotionless.
I mean it fit her with the old squeaky nasally voice where that was what made her singing sound emotional, but now the vibratos are a major part of it and when she is not exaggerating like in 2008 it's fantastic.

Her cover if itsuka no merry christmas is beautiful.
ayu never did bad with covers.

Ayu's version of Itsuka no Merry Christmas is fabulous~ :love

The low verses give me Janet Jackson whispering teas
But in the end my fav Ayu Christmas song will forever be silent night

I love Ayu's vibrato. :)

Me too! But sometimes she's overdoing it like she's making a parody of herself LOL.

Gustavopc 6th November 2015 09:02 AM

^ This. I love GUILTY to hell (the album), but she could have gone more light on her vibrato in some of those songs

paper_doll 6th November 2015 03:12 PM

No way, her vibrato is awful lol. I don't think she overuses it quite as much any more, but I still don't like it.

Minttulatte 6th November 2015 10:05 PM

I do like her vibrato but somewhere in 2008-2009 she had a habit of overdoing it to the point it started to annoy me. I'm glad she doesn't do it like that anymore. It makes her songs more pleasant for me to listen to. :)

oaristos 6th November 2015 11:45 PM

I like her vibrato when used in moderation.

rainbow_smile 7th November 2015 01:15 AM

I've loved her vibrato ever since I started listening to her, even when I hadn't been stanning her much.

Does anyone have a list of which Acoustic/Orchestra/etc. versions are the same in her discography? i.e. I realized that Fly high "Acoustic Orchestra Version" on the Fly high single (2000) is the same one as Fly high from ayu-mi-x 4 + selection Acoustic Orchestra Version (2002). I'm trying to weed out the dupes in my library atm, any insight is much appreciated! Same with remixes like YOU "MASTERS OF FUNK R&B REMIX" on the YOU re-issue (2001) being the same as the one on ayu-mi-x (1999) but Depend on you "Dub's electro Remix" on the Depend on you re-issue (2001) being different than the one with the same title on ayu-mi-x (1999), with the only difference being the remix title is all lowercase. :tired

sitara 8th November 2015 12:20 PM

i also wonder why they reused done remixes and put them on dome ayu-mi-x releases instead of a new mix. for why?? lazyness? T____T
