Where are the concepts?! And before anyone starts, it's a remix album and I know that, but so was A Ballads.

I was just thinking that the other day. They are still nice, but are pretty lazy when you look at ones she's done in the past. Duty, I am..., RAINBOW, A BALLADS etc. I would love another Rainbow type cover. Not the same, but something that makes you go wow. Remix albums can have good covers. ayu-mi-x 4. Even a best 2 black and white had a concept. But now a days, its just like she uses magazine photo shoots

Photoshopped the hair away just for the fun of it.

One of my favorite Ayu release cover in years...? (So understated!)

After a few days of this release mulling around my mind, I've realized that about half of this record are poor choices for remixes. I really wished she would have chosen Story, Shape of love, Zutto..., and Walk, instead of choosing Sky high, NO FUTURE, and The GIFT.

I don't think it's going to ruin the experience, but I do think Story, Shape of love, Zutto..., and Walk would have been better received with classical arrangements--especially in the case of Sky high and The GIFT.

As much as I am not fond of the release, I think that avoiding the strings-driven ballads is a great choice cause they are somewhat classical-ish already, these other songs have more potential to sound even better in classical, feeling like new songs (You & Me from A CLASSICAL eg) than a ballad that got more layers of instruments bit other than that was slightly changed

I agree with this; that's the appeal of this release to me. I honestly have no idea how most of these songs will be adapted and I find that exciting. Even if they don't end up working 100%, at least I can appreciate taking a bit of a risk to breathe new life into these songs and present a less obvious remix album. Something like Zutto..., Walk or Anything for You would've been on par with Voyage, M or Days from A Classical--nice, but not surprising. Almost too predictable.

However, I would've been okay with Story (since I don't like it much and might like a classical version better) and Shape of love (since it's great and deserves another bonus treatment).

That would be really awful actually. I still don't forgive Mika for that.

pimenta 3rd December 2015 12:43 AM

^^ eww, no, that thing on top of her face looks terrible.

heymrdj 3rd December 2015 01:32 AM

The cover looks so lazy and tacky, like one of those alan singles no one cares about.

DonkeyKongRemix 3rd December 2015 02:22 AM

the cover just makes it seem like this release really means something, her expression is inspired. I know some people don't like the hair but I love it. The colors used on this are perfection, especially those lips!

only if it looks more real, not like paper snowflake laying on the photo
maybe painting on a face, or frost from Zutto PV

I wouldn't like this either, sorry, the snowflake is really distracting, hiding so much of her beautiful face :no

Gustavopc 3rd December 2015 01:11 PM

I like the snowflake idea but this execution wasn't very good, it looks like a wordart effect :dead2 I'd rather have ayu's cover plain and simple the way it is tbh

melissalove 3rd December 2015 03:20 PM

:roflmao:roflmao that "snowflake" picture has fail written all over it. At the beginning I thought it was a giant spider webbing down her face.:laugh
