I've been watching this all live on my telebox for like a day now! I'm surprised the girls actually managed to get on the festival! They're not exactly an indie/rock bands... The 'Babes were there though, so maybe the V Fest is starting to become more diverse.

Nicola's shirt is the best. :yes

EDIT: AND OMG, CHERYL IS SUCH A ***** ON X FACTOR! :dead2

does anyone know when the tangled up tour dvd is going to be released?

drewbilation 18th August 2008 02:06 AM

in late September/early October, I believe. they're also supposed to be releasing their new single in late October, with the album following in the first week of November.

You really thought so? I loved her on it. She's my favorite judge, but that's also because she's my favorite member of Girls Aloud. I still think as a judge Simon is by far the best.

I think she just comes off as a bit of a hypocrite. I think she needs to remember that her first audition was pretty ****. On the Xtra-Factor (spin off show) she rejected these girls twice after they had to come back the audition after getting a second chance to audition and learn a song in an hour. She was the only one to reject them a second time bcz she thought they sounded "just okay". My mum and me were like "they sang a ton better that you could!" D:

I'm sure she'll be cool again next week. :D

I see what you mean. Though the thing is, whether Cheryl is a great singer or not has nothing to do with her judging ability. Simon doesn't sing but he's by far the most critical of the judges. I did think it was compassionate of Cheryl to not judge that hot guy that had been on Popstars as well. He obviously wasn't great, but the fact that she did sort of understand his perspective and therefore didn't want to take part in crushing his dreams was a decent enough thing to do I thought.

have y'all heard Sarah's solo song, "Real Wild Child," from the soundtrack of that Emma Roberts movie? it's pretty interesting.

drewbilation 7th September 2008 11:09 PM

the girls will premiere their new single next Sunday on Annie Mac's radio show.

SO EXCITED!

Lee_410 7th September 2008 11:27 PM

I don't think Girls Aloud are featured on the US version, sadly.

Lee_410 7th September 2008 11:40 PM

apparently Annie mentioned on her show tonight that the single would premiere on her show next week. she also said she was hoping one of them'd come on the show 'cause she wants to meet Cheryl.

milky_way 8th September 2008 03:23 AM

I can't wait to hear the new single!!

drewbilation 9th September 2008 05:01 PM

it's official.

the girls will also be appearing on Live Lounge on the 25th to, I'm assuming, perform their new single and a cover song - just in time to be included as a b-side on the single?

Cyria 9th September 2008 07:28 PM

I'm glad it's been confirmed. Maybe I can hope for an early 09 album now.

drewbilation 9th September 2008 08:17 PM

^ the girls' record label has confirmed that the album will be out in (early) November.

milky_way 9th September 2008 08:25 PM

^ Awesome! I wonder if they'll do it in the same format as Tangled Up with the pictures and lyrics only on a Fan Edition.

BTW, has there been a release date confirmed for the Tangled Up tour DVD?
