I just downloaded Candy Shop and I'm not a huge fan. I don't know why, but I'm just not super excited over M's new music. It just isn't doing anything for me. There's nothing striking about it. The Beat Goes On was the same for me. In comparison to all this wonderful new Britney material being released, M is just slipping behind in my eyes. I hope some of her other songs are more impressive because I honestly don't see this stuff striking a chord with the younger crowd like Confessions did.

voltron 10th September 2007 04:00 AM

Yeah, I'm not liking this song at all. Pharell produced it, right? I don't usually like his songs, but just like the other leak...Madonna sounds awful. And, honestly, the lyrics are just ridiculous. Not to mention way too young for her.

What happened to the Madonna that make catchy pop music with good hooks?

TeamAyu 10th September 2007 04:30 AM

Yeah I have to say "Candy Shop" is lacking even more than "The Beat Goes On" did. Luckily, "The Beat Goes On" has grown on me and I wouldn't mind it being an album track, however as a single it doesn't make the cut. Hmmm I'm really hoping M has some real hits under her sleeves because what's leaking isn't a good sample of what's to come. I actually have all my faith on Timbaland and JT now, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

On first listen, Candy Shop is a little dull. I prefer TBGO.

One thing I like about Madonna is that she's definitely a professional. She might not be the nicest artist to meet in person, but in the studio and on the stage she's going to work hard. I wonder what her "comeback" performance for the new album will be like.

Kobayashiwoof 10th September 2007 01:31 PM

candy shop is good but i hate the bongo thing. its a demo so no need to get all that hyer over it. The song needs more...power in it

marty518 10th September 2007 03:42 PM

I agree that Candy Shop seems a little weak in the demo.. hopefully the album version will be better. I like the melody of the song, though!

I'm sure he'll be partying at the pubs soon enough. :laugh

Partino 10th September 2007 11:36 PM

I presume with her ... like he did in IGTTYAS ... that was fun ... seeing madonna drunk and *****y and the same time

Vinylfantasy 10th September 2007 11:58 PM

She's so cute when she's drunk! I love it.

kinomaniac 11th September 2007 01:19 AM

im disappointed by the new songs... i want the old madge back

edit: sorry, its not completely true, i LOVE 'the beat goes on'

Vinylfantasy 11th September 2007 07:08 AM

Looks like Guy got a great birthday present! :lech That sly smirk says to me she knows exactly what she's doing. :laugh

ruixiong89 11th September 2007 07:23 AM

^ The ever controversial Madonna. As usual.

Vinylfantasy 11th September 2007 07:46 AM

I have a treat for you guys! It's a remix of Deeper and Deeper by David Morales from the upcoming compilation! (How appropriate considering the last thing I posted :laugh) Morales originally wanted the mix for his next album but Warner didn't let him since it's going on Best of Remixes 2.

Deeper and Deeper (David's Classic 12" Mix)

Don't hotlink or my foot's gonna go Deeper and Deeper on your ass. (and you aren't going to like it)

Partino 11th September 2007 12:08 PM

lol and thanks ... bout the present .. is guy really into that or is it just a joke present??

Vinylfantasy 12th September 2007 07:25 AM

I really don't have any knowledge of Guy's likes and dislikes in the bedroom.

"Earlier that morning, Madge was seen leaving her North London gym with a water bottle in hand. "

I love that the article ends it with this, as if to say "just think of what she does with THAT."

:roflmao

Madonna has just commissioned Fedde Le Grand to do remix and submit demos which might make it (or not)to the album. Check out Le grand"s "Let me think about it". That song really blew Madonna. (There's a portion in that song that sounds suspiciously like Madonna doing back up vocals "umm umm umm" I don't know if it's really Madonna or just coincidental) Some of the leaked songs won't be able to make it to the album cut.

Check out Let Me Think About It:

I really like his sound.

TeamAyu 14th September 2007 05:46 AM

^ I really like that song, is there anyone who knows where to obtain an mp3 of this song?
