Yeah, the Japanese press prints 2-3 articles and then the Chinese press latches on and spawns another 20 (I lost count after 20) from there. LOL

You probably won't hear more from the Japanese media until the investigation is completed and the police actually announce something. (which knowing the Japanese police could take years or something. ^_^)

Actually she said it occurred around the time of Jewel. So it was over a year later that it was actually announced.

The second article that I posted the translation from is from a more reliable Japanese magazine. That one didn't put any kind of really wild speculation, just simply stated the situation and that Ayu is one (probably of many) that are being considered in a large scale drug operation by the police.

I think the japanese police or japanese media won't announce anything further, until the investigation reveals some really important and relevant facts about Ayu.

okay i just heard about some good news regarding ayu and this matter. so she is safe and my worries have been put aside. expect another article soon :)

In all honestly, Ayu's probably tried drugs at some point in her life. It would be almost impossible for her to avoid the temptation, or avoid going to places where friends of friends of friends would coax her into doing it.

To last 10 years without any major drug scandal is pretty amazing for any artist, let alone someone as popular as she. In the West most stars are accused at least once of doing drugs...

I wouldn't stop being her fan over something like this though... Although her involvement is still just a rumour, it seems lots of people are going a bit crazy over the news?

Not saying that I don't believe she hasn't tried drugs just once even (though not saying that I do believe it :P), why does everybody assume that because she's a celebrity she's at least tried something..? I mean, just because you become famous doesn't mean your values change. Of course for some people it does, but somebody who is really strict on his/her beliefs wouldn't change his/her mind so easily. Like me, I'm really big on not doing drugs. If I were to become famous (XD), there would be nothing that would make me try anything, no matter how much temptation there was. If Ayumi has anywhere near the same beliefs I do, she would never try drugs. And she seems like a sincerely good person. So I'm not going to assume that just because she's a celebrity she's tried some pot or something...

^ As I mentioned, she is a celebrity. She is not a flight risk - Ayumi could never skip the country even if she tried. There would be no reason that she has to stay in Japan. Also, we don't know how seriously or not she is being considered in the investigation.

I don't think its possible for anyone to unequivocally make that statement unless they are in the situation themselves. Its very easy for us to say that with our comparatively less hectic lives but we will never know if we might change those thoughts if our lives were like Ayu's (or any celebrity). I won't believe she has done drugs either until there is more proof, I just disagree with your statement.

Well it's not that we'll stop being her fans, it's just I can imagine a lot of people will be disappointed in her, myself being one.
I've NEVER done drugs in my life despite having many opportunities to do so.
Frankly it disgusts me and I'll never do them ever because I hate them so much and I also really don't get along with people who DO do drugs.
I don't think she's done drugs and I sincerely hope she hasn't because I'd be really sad because I honestly believe that she's not that type of person.

I think she's tried them. I personally have never done them, or will ever, but I really don't see the harm in trying them out in a safe and protected environment.

I don't really see her as being the type of person who really needs them, then again, I don't really see her as the type of person who wouldn't want to have the experience of trying them.


Honestly, we don't know how Ayu is. I don't really think it's logical to just call her an angel and automatically apply all the postive morals and values to her, and believe she lives by them, just as it's not logical to apply all the negative to her either.

People are both black and white, and drugs are part of a grey area that a lot of people fall into one time or another, usually when they just try them.

I personally wouldn't be disappointed in her if she tried pot or something. I mean honestly? It's not that big a deal.

Now if she's smoking it every day and/or addicted, we're looking at a whole other animal.

But there really isn't any proof to either prove it or disprove it so....yeah...

We need some updates. Hopefully before next year.
